This story is going to be a little different. No stupid introduction about how I changed genders. As I write this, I'm sat on the couch with my head on Draco's chest. He's asleep, but he still has his hand on my now giant stomach. He looks cute. But I'm never going to tell him that. Oh, I'd be dead if I did.
I'm Taylor Malfoy. I used to be Harry Potter, the saviour of the wizarding world, but not anymore. I'm just plain old Taylor, thank god! I'm going to start my story from when I looked into the mirror and saw for the first time my new body. I know that it sounds vain, but it's when reality hit me. And anyway, I wasn't paying attention to anyone then for I was too busy shouting my lungs out when and wherever possible.
I looked into the mirror and a girl stared back at me. She had long brown hair, getting lighter at the ends and bright green orbs that you could spot from a mile away. High cheekbones, a button nose and a pair of scarlet lips graced her face. She was petite, yes, but beautiful. This girl- she was me.
I tried to be bothered about this, but found I just couldn't be. I wouldn't have to be Harry Potter anymore. I'd just be...Hmm...what would my name be? Madam Pomfrey seemed to read my mind.
"What are your favourite girls' names, dear?"
"Hmm..they're boy names, but could pass as girls' ones. Taylor and Riley are my favourites."
"Well, dear. How about Taylor Riley Brooks?
Madam Pomfrey lead me to a room off of the Gryffindor common room. I opened the door and found that it was perfect! Light teal walls and a white carpet were the least of my worries, though they were amazing! No...it was definitely the king-sized bed, desk and wardrobe that were really amazing. There were fake pictures of me and my old 'friends' and one with my family. I almost cried at this. These people resembled my real parents. Sheesh, now I had female hormones!
God, this was a great room. I put on some pj's and jumped onto the bed, asleep in seconds.
The next morning I woke up and turned to my alarm clock. Darn, I'd overslept! Oh, wait- It was Saturday. Still, I didn't want to miss breakfast! I tried to find some jeans in my closet but failed. Oh...damn. There were only...dresses! What the...? I stuck on a white and navy striped dress, white flats and pinned my hair back with a few navy blue clips. It was a simple matter to sort it out. I just flicked my wand and my ombre hair was falling in soft curls down my back. Heh. I didn't exactly like being a girl, but it was easier than being Harry Potter.
That morning at breakfast I was introduced as a new Gryffindor. Taylor seemed to be just as popular as Harry. Oh well, it could be worse. That's what I thought, anyway.
"Ten boys have asked me out so far," I said to Hermione. We had sort of teamed up. With Harry 'gone' Ron was depressed and told Hermione that he never wanted to see her again. Sometimes he can be a real JERK.
"It'll get better," She replied. "The boys almost always go for the new girls. It dies down, I promise."
My day only got worse when Draco came up to me, probably for some friendly banter. We were already friends and he was there when the accident happened and just after it to comfort me. He was now being civil with Hermione and they were well on their way to becoming friends.
"Could I borrow Taylor for a minute, Hermione?" He asked, sending her a half smile. She grinned and nodded, looking between the two of us. We walked along for a moment before Draco turned to me and I have to admit I was a little worried about him. He looked nervous.
"Taylor," He said, but it sounded like a question. "You know how all seventh years get a project...?"
"Oh yeah, the pregnancy project- wait, WHAT?"
"Tay," He said and looked me in the eyes. "I asked Dumbledore if he could leave you out of it, but he said it was beyond his authority. Only the Ministry can take you out of it, and they won't. So..I asked if you could be paired with me."
"Thank you," I found myself saying. "I wouldn't want to be paired with someone who didn't know about me. And thank you for being here for me."
"What?" He asked.
"Really, thank you," I said.
"I'll always be here for you, Tay, whether you're a girl or not."
"Good, because the project starts tomorrow," I replied.
I know, Very OOC Draco, but this is how I imagined him to be. I think that if you could get past the cold exterior, he'd be an amazing friend.
