Chapter 19- School
Mum forced us kids to go to school because its the first day. She hasn't told Felicite, Phoebe, Daisy or Doris or Ernest. Which is probably for the best. I got everything ready and headed out the door. When I arrived at school, I could see the others waiting for me under the oak tree. I walked over to them with a sad look written all over my face. Only Hazza, and Brynn knew about what happened. I gave Brynn a hug and then sat down on the ground, my back against the tree. Nobody said anything and then the bell rang. I went to my homeroom class. Mrs. Meyers. She was my favourite teacher. I had her for the first two periods. We got our lockers and I put my stuff in it. I pondered all day about how I could raise money for mum. I had quite a few ideas, but none of them would work out. I wondered if Lottie had any ideas. Mum has a job, but she only works one day a week. I guess I should've saw this coming. A single woman with seven kids working one day a week. I can't believe the thought hadn't occurred to me then. I just sat there all class waiting for the bell to ring. Then finally, it did. Lunch time. I quickly walked to my locker and put my binder in it. I searched the busy hallway for my friends. I spotted Zayn and walked over to him.
"Where's your locker mate?" I asked.
"Over on the other side," He replied.
We turned the corner and walked to Zayn's locker. Brynn and Harry soon walked up to us.
"Hey where's your locker babe?" I asked.
"Oh just over there," Harry said gesturing to the left.
"Not you Haz," I replied.
"I'm just down the hall a bit," Brynn replied.
"Oh, sweet! Me too, what number are you?" I questioned.
"360," she simply said.
"I'm 408. So we are pretty close!" I said.
We walked over to the oak tree and waited for the others to join us. I pulled out my lunch and began to eat. Brynn did the same. The others quickly joined us and sat down.
"So are any of us in the same class?" Because I'm with absolutely no one," I mumbled.
"Zayn and I are together!" Perrie piped in.
"Harry and I are together," Brynn said.
"Well, I feel left out," Liv commented.
"I get the feeling," Sophia replied.
"Hey guys... Can I tell you something?" I questioned.
"Yeah, anything," Liam responded.
"Well, my mum found an eviction notice on the door. We have one month to pay $3,800. I'm really scared. What if we lose the house?" I spilled.
"I'm sure that wont happen. But I wish you the best of luck," Perrie replied.
"We will have your back and help you out the best we can," Liam said.
I nodded my head to thank them. We ate the rest of lunch in silence. School was pretty goo so far. I actually enjoyed it. I liked all of my classes and teachers. I guess the only thing that could be better is if my friends were with me. The rest of the day went by quickly. The final bell rang throughout the school, alarming everyone that school was finished for the day. I walked home with Brynn. Mum was gone applying for another job. Fizzy had to watch the twins until I got home because Lottie was also at work. I layed in bed until mum got home. Then she walked in thee door.
"Did you get the job mum?" I asked.
"Sadly no," She replied.
