"I can't believe we're in a real studio." said Gabby, excitedly.
"I know, this is incredible. The flight kind of sucked though." I said.
"I know. That bratty little kid kept kicking my seat and then when I asked him to stop, he told me to shut the fuck up. And his parents didn't even do anything. Seriously, what kind of parents let their kids do that." said Gabby.
"I don't know." I said, smiling.
"I mean seriously, if I had ever said that to anyone in front of my parents when I was young, I would have gotten bitch slapped so hard."
"Calm down, we're here and it's over with." I said, as a lady in a business suit walked up to us.
"Are you Emma Johnson?" she asked me.
"Uh, yeah, that's me." I said, nervously.
“I'm Mia Kane. Come with me.” she said and began walking.
We followed her into a very big office and sat down across from her desk.
“Here are the schedules you will need and the phone with all the boy's number and mine in case you have any questions.” she said handing me papers with dates on them and an iphone.
“Ok.” I said taking them.
“Good. You are not to give those numbers out to anybody, or you will be fired. Are we clear?”
“You will also find the addresses of where all the boys will be staying. You are not to have any relationship with any of the boys other than work. Understand?”
“Yes.” I said.
“Any questions?” she asked.
"Alright, you will be leaving on tour with the boys tomorrow and until then you will be staying at a hotel." she said, handing me a room key.
"Also there is an interview tonight, that isn't in the schedule. We will need you to be there tonight. Can you handle that?" she asked.
"Yes I can." I said.
"Alright, we will send a car to you at seven." she said.
"Alright." I said, standing up and leaving.
"Wow, she's scary." said Gabby, as we made our way to the doors.
"Yeah, but I'm sure I can handle her." I said.
"Who is she, anyway? I don't think I've ever heard about her." said Gabby.
"I think she's supposed to make everything go smoothly." I said.
"Isn't that the manager's job?"
"I guess not." I said.
"Well..." started Gabby, but froze.
"What?" I asked, following her gaze.
I froze too when I saw what she was looking at. Two of the members of One Direction just walked in. Liam Payne and Niall Horan.
"Em, we should go talk to them." said Gabby, nudging me.
"No way, I won't be able to get two words out." I said.
"You're going to have to talk to them at some point." she said.
"No I won't, that's why you're here." I said.
"Would you just go." said Gabby, shoving me. The papers went flying out of my hands.
"Thanks a lot." I said, bending down to pick them up.
"Need a hand?" someone asked, handing me some of the papers.
"Thanks." I mumbled.
I looked up to see Liam Payne hovering over me.
"No problem." he said, extending his hand out to help me up.
After a moments hesitation I took it.
"You must be the new assistant." said Liam, noticing the papers in my hand.
"Uh.." I couldn't think of anything to say at this moment, it's like my brain was having a malfunction.
"Yes, she is." said Gabby, coming to my rescue.
"Who are you?" asked Niall.
"I'm Gabby and this is Emma." she said.
"It's nice to meet the both of you. Will you be coming with us on our tour too?" asked Liam.
"Yep. I'm here to help Emma." she said.
"You guys should come and hang out in the studio with us." said Liam, looking directly at me.
"Um, we would, but we have to look over all of the schedules." I said.
"Alright, I guess we'll see you tonight then." said Liam.
"Yep, bye." said Gabby, as they walked away.
"You like Liam." said Gabby as soon as they walked away.
"No, I don't." I said, getting really red.
"Then why are you blushing?" she asked.
"I'm not." I lied.
"You've got to be the worst liar of all time."
"Even if I did like him, which I don't, there's nothing I can do about it anyway." I said, remembering what Mia said.
"There are no rules when it comes to love." she said, giggling.
"Would you stop. We have to get to the hotel so I can look at the schedule and then we have to get to the interview." I said.
"Alright, you're no fun." she said, as we walked out.
"Yeah, but you love me all the same." I said, linking our arms.
