*Groans* My head hurts. I think I overslept. I opened my eyes and found myself on a wooden chair facing a curtained window. My hands are hardly tied on the chair arms. At first I don’t remember what happened last but now I do. I tried to struggle from the ropes but it was tied so strong that it can even reach my bones. It only hurts me on moving my hands. Even my feet were tied on the chairs foot. I hope Agnes will come to help me. Oh fool me, Spencer should be the one tied on this chair.
Moments later, I heard steps behind. I can’t look back.
“Sam,” I heard Agnes. I felt relief but why does she sound like that? She was like suffering.
I saw a human shadow approach beside me and then Spencer appeared.
“What—what happened? I heard Agnes’s voice,” I breathed.
“Of course you did. She’s just a few paces behind you. She can see you right now. Too bad you can’t see her. Maybe I can tell you how she looked today.”
“Don’t listen to him.” Agnes almost whispered.
“She looks weak. Her hands are bleeding maybe because I tied it together so hard. They say witches can’t work without their hands. Her face red, her hair disheveled…she was on her knees right now.”
“You big bullsh*t! Why are you doing this? It’s me who you wanted to kill! Don’t you ever involve her!” I snapped. I suddenly wanted to punch him so hard but then, I realized both my hand and feet are tied.
He just watched me then soon chuckled for an instant. “Kill you?” he frowned.
“I know everything. I know you wanted to kill me to take revenge for your father who’s been killed by my father!” I said mixed with a little insult.
He then again frowned and shook his head with a smile, “no, I mean yes, we wanted revenge but not that way. Killing you that quick will be like letting you escape.” He paused. “You will be our pet Samantha, you will be.” My eyes met his. I stopped for a moment, what is he saying? There was a long silence between us then he suddenly burst with laugh.
“Now, we’re going to play first a painful game so I advice you to make it quick because it’s also serious for me.” He glanced at Agnes, “I already asked you many times but I guess you really require this.” Then he pulled up the curtain in front of me and the sunlight sneaked in. I started shrieking in pain. My daylight necklace was gone. My hands are burning, my face too…it really hurts. That lasted maybe for seconds.
“You monster!” Agnes yelled.
Ughr…I felt weakening. It’s like… I’m going to explode now.
“I know, but that’s not the answer.” Then he again pulled up the curtains as I begun shrieking.
“Stop it please, stop it!” Agnes yelled then he immediately dropped the curtain.
“Exactly—what are you doing this--*coughs* for?!” I hardly spoke as I lean my head back the chair.
Spencer stepped through Agnes. “You’re going to bring them back or she’ll burn like hell?” he coldly roared at her.
Bring them back? Alright, he already found out about the Europe werewolves’ death.
“I already said I can’t. I can’t undo any spell unless it’s created by me.” She started to cry with her voice trembling.
Spencer breathed deeply and again stepped back to the curtain. He was about to raise it again. “Wait! I’ll do it just stop doing that!” Agnes immediately interrupted. I wanted to look back but I can’t. She’s really going to do it? What the hell.
“Let’s begin it today,” He smiled at me then went to pick Agnes up. I heard him drag her out then slammed the door behind me.
I should escape here, I should stop them. I hardly moved my body as the chair jolts. My hair’s covering my face, it disturbs me. I stopped for a moment. This is crazy, I don’t even know if this could work. I fell thirsty, I’m weakening. But no, I have to be strong. This maybe crazy but I’m going to cut this rope by using my teeth. Loosing one will be enough to untie the others. I started to cut the rope as I planned and I did it in minutes. My right hand was freed. I untied the others. It hurts but I endured it. Now I am free. I hope I’m not late. I immediately stood up suddenly I fell on my feet. My ankle hurts. Probably, because it was tied so hard but anyway, I slowly stood up and walked nearly crippling. I opened the door and saw an old hallway, all built with bricks with its red painting fading. I guess I’m in a stinking basement. I heard echoes as the cold wind passes through. I followed from where it is until I finally found them. Agnes was sitting on the center of a chalk drawn triangle with some things drawn inside of it. Spencer frowned with amazement. “So, you’re stronger than I thought.” He said.
I suddenly felt my blood rise and soon felt my fangs and veins. I pushed him so quick until he was leaned on the wall. I was strangling him this time. “Die,” I roared as I raise my claws. Suddenly, he pushed me with force and I was thrown on the ground and hardly hit my back.
“Not now darling. You’re still weak and I have things to do for today.” I heard him say.
I can’t move. I think I’m paralyzed. My body hurts.
“Resume what you were doing,” he said facing back Agnes. I was lying behind him and looking at Agnes. Words can’t come out my mouth.
“What did you do to her?” she gasped.
“You saw it.”
“Yes. I did. Now what’s happening to her?!” she snapped.
“You do have many questions huh. Don’t worry she won’t die, not now.”
I slowly sat up. Spencer seems not to notice it. I looked at his pockets searching for the silver knife but I can’t find it.
He gestured, “Start it now.”
“Kill me!” Agnes said.
I gazed at her. What is she saying? I frowned as I looked at her face. Something caught my attention, her earrings. It’s an inch long and diamond shaped, it’s sparkling…it is silver. I felt hope. I gulped then again attacked Spencer and about to strike my claws on his head but he quickly faced me and held my wrist. He strongly dropped it that I felt his force crawl up my neck from my hand. He pushed me back but not that strong because he was destructed by me spit forcefully at his eyes. I jumped at him with force then hardly covered his face with my palm as we fall on the ground. He was under me right now.
“Give me your earrings Agnes!” I said and she quickly obeyed though I only grabbed one. Suddenly, Spencer immediately held my arms and rolled us. Now I am the one beneath him. His eyes were in fire as he strangles me so hard, his strength coming from his anger. I gripped his wrists because I really can’t breath. But before I could completely lose my
strength, I forcefully pierced his neck with the earring I was holding. I felt his hands grip my neck more. His lips were quivering and soon his grips were weakening. I pushed him aside and freely sat up—I felt a deep scratch on my back. It was prickling that I even roared in pain. Agnes held my hand and immediately pulled me away from him but I quickly pulled back my hand and ran back to him. He was bleeding though he was still breathing. His claws were out. His eyes were turning off and on into fire. He was snarling like turning into his wolf form. I thrust my hand through his chest. His eyes went wider as bloods started to spurt out his mouth. I soon pulled my hands out with his heart He’s already dead, his eyes wide open. Everything around turned into silence. Agnes covered her mouth with her palms looking at the heart I was holding.
*Breathing heavily* I can’t believe I did this. I gazed at Agnes for a moment and then…everything went black.
