12. Home at Last
(Clace POV).....I have to admit I did enjoy dancing with Jay, his strong arms wrapped around my waist and his hand holding mine, guiding me around as we waltzed on the dance floor. He had this smile on his face when we were close, it made me smile and I almost....anyway, we are finally back in district 2, at the victors village. Jay will slowly be revealed to everyone, having his family be last. Although that plan hasn't come up yet, I was thinking more along the lines of when they came to interview me before the next games, I could bring Jay out. That would be fun to witness they're reaction. I'll have to wait, I now sit in Chuck's house on his couch with Jay next to me and Chuck sitting in a chair next to Jay. We are just exchanging stories, childhood stories, stories about our games, it's fun. "Jay I need to tell you something," "What?" He asks. Then I lean in and kiss him. Butterflies dance in my stomach, his lips move in time with mine. I get lost in this kiss, so when I pull away, I only notice Jay's eyes. "I didn't think you were ever going to do that," "I did" "That's why i like you, because your so confident and beautiful." He kisses me again, I don't want to pull away, but when I do I say "Don't push your luck," he laughs. I find myself ready to me a mentor, ready to get dragged out every year to be interviewed. Yay. Well I'm on the hell ride, but at least I have Jay.
