I walked downstairs Saturday morning to see Rose sitting on the kitchen counter, reading a book and quietly singing Fall out boy songs.
"Whatcha reading?" I ask her and grab an apple off the table.
"Harry Potter." She mutters and continues reading.
I roll my eyes at her and smile. "You need to go get ready." I tell her and take a bite of my apple.
"What? What time is it?!" She asks, jumping down.
"Your appointment is in like 45 minutes." I laugh at her as she runs up to the bedroom.
She comes back down 10 minutes later, fully dressed in her Paramore t-shirt and ripped, sky blue skinny jeans. She had her hair up in a bun and she was slipping on her black converse.
"Come on." She says and looks at me.
I roll my eyes and put my shoes on, walking out if the house after her.
She gets into the passenger side of the car. Of course she would make me drive. I get in and start the car, grabbing her hand and interlock our fingers.
"Nervous?" I ask and start to drive.
She shrugs and plays with my fingers, humming along to whatever song was playing on the radio.
"I love you." I say, running my thumb over her knuckles.
"I love you too Justin." She says softly, making me smile.
She had been texting Kellin, but only Kellin since he was the only one that knew. Maybe after a while and he precautionary stage is over, or once she starts growing a baby bump, we'll tell the others.
I wasn't jealous of Kellin anymore because I knew that he was okay as long as Rose was happy, and he wasn't going to be taking her from me anytime soon. Plus, I think he has a crush on Tay, but I'm not sure about that yet.
I pulled into the parking lot if the doctors office and Rose looked at me.
"It's gonna be okay." I tell her, reassuring her and myself.
She nods and gets out, me following closely behind her. She walks in and goes up to the receptionist, telling her who she was and when her appointment is. We were told to have a seat In The waiting room and we were called in not long after.
"Do you want me to stay?" I ask and she nods vigorously.
"Do not leave, whatever you do. Don't leave." She tells me and I kiss her forehead.
"I won't leave, I promise baby." I say and smile.
She smiles back, half-heartedly and I sit in the chair next to the bed thingy. The doctor comes in a few minutes later and begins asking Rose questions and all that, to be honest I wasn't really paying attention.
He ran some tests and eventually he told her everything looked great and that she was about 4-5 weeks along.
I smiled as we both left the building and wrapped my arm around her shoulder. "So, there's a tiny me, or you in there." I say and motion towards her stomach.
She laughs and nods. "Well, it's a tiny us. It has something from you and me." She says and pecks my lips.
I blush and get into the car. I definitely don't regret starting a family with Rose.
As soon as we got home Rose ran back up the stairs and started reading again. I rolled my eyes at her.
"You're such a nerd." I tell her, taking my shirt off and laying in bed beside her.
"But I'm your nerd." She mutters, barely paying attention to me.
"That you are." I tell her and wrap my arms around her, pulling her closer.
She rests her head on my shoulder and continues reading.
"You're really into that god damn book."
"Shush. I am reading great litterateur." She says and puts a finger to my lips.
I playfully bite it and she pouts. "Rude."
"I love you."
I laugh and kiss her shoulder. Eventually she stops acting like she's pissed at me and cuddles closer to me, placing the book on the table beside her.
"You know, you're cute." She says and smiles.
"Well I hope you know you are too." I say and kiss her.
She kisses back and I move her from beside me to on top of me. She sighs, happily and kisses my jawline softly. I smile and rub her back. She quietly sings what I recognize as Misery Business by Paramore.
I smile and listen to her closely, and then I realize something. Rose is the best thing that's ever happened to me, quite literally. She's perfect in every way possible. For god sakes, were going to be a family now. I'd do anything to make sure she's stays mine forever, and I think there's only one way I know how.
To fulfill the promise I made to her when I gave her the promise ring weeks ago.
