If you asked me a year ago if I'd be marrying Gabe right now, I'd laugh and call you insane. But here I am, about to get married to the love if my life and also, my drummer.
Rose of course had been here through it all, it's really been amazing to have someone always there no matter what. Right now she was sitting with me, trying to calm me down. I'll admit, I'm extremely nervous. But who wouldn't be nervous on their wedding day?
We, much like Justin and Rose, decided to skip all the traditional stuff and just say our vows, which didn't bother me much because the sooner we were married, the better. I was so in love with Gabe, I almost couldn't wait any longer.
I wasn't walking down the isle with anyone, hell I was going to casually stroll in there and walk up to Gabe and tell him how much I love him in front of our friends, kiss him and that's that. Then were married. Not too difficult, is it? Yet I'm still here, flipping shit Because I'm afraid I'll do something wrong.
"Jacky-poo, it's almost time." Rose's quiet voice filled my ears. She walks up behind me and wraps her arms around me, resting her chin on my shoulder. "There's no need to be nervous. You love Gabe and Gabe loves you, nothing bad is gonna happen." She soothes and smiles.
"I know, I know. But you were nervous on your wedding day!" I say with a small chuckle.
"I was, but I had no reason to be, other than the fact I could've tripped and died or something." She says and laughs. "Now," she stops and walks in front of me, fixing my tie. "It's time for you to get married." She says with a smile.
I take note on what she was wearing, a strapless, black dress that stopped just above her knees, it had a jewelled belt around the waist and fit her perfectly. She was in her usual black heels that she wore to special occasions. She had some special connection with those precise pair of shoes that I would never understand. She had a natural look to her makeup with some eyeliner and red lipstick, and her hair fell in loose curls down her back. She looked beautiful.
"Yeah, you're right. You look absolutely gorgeous today, by the way." I say and smile.
She smiles and looks down a bit. "Thank you, now let's go." She says, taking my hand and leading me out the back door.
Of course we'd have the wedding outside, I mean come on, California is absolutely beautiful. She pulled me out and smiled at me "good luck." She says and pushes me forward. I smile and nod, thanking her silently. I awkwardly walk down the isle and take everything in. The day, the decorations, my friends and finally Gabe. Gabe was in a similar tux as mine, and he looked amazing. He had this huge grin on his face that just made me want to grab him and kiss him. I finally reach him and he grabs my hand, pulling me close and kissing me quickly.
"Well hello." I say and smile.
"Greetings." He says and laughs under his breath.
"You look perfect." I tell him.
"And you look amazing," he says.
"I think it's time to say our vows." I say and bite my bottom lip.
"Oh... Uh yeah. So Jack... Jack... I had everything I was going to say memorized until I saw you. You're so god damn perfect, you make me forget every single thing on my mind.
"Jack Fowler, I've known you for I don't know how long now. You've been my best friend for years, and you still are, honestly. You're perfect in every single way. I'm in love with you and every single thing about you.
"You've been putting up with me for years and I don't know how you do it, you really need a round of applause for that one." He says, earning a few laughs. "And I knew as soon as I met you, you were the one. I mean come on Jack, you made me question my own sexuality!" He exclaims and laughs.
"I could never put my feelings for you into words, so I think you'll just have to believe me when I say I love you more than anything. If anything were to happen to you... Or to us, I don't know what I'd do, really. You've made such a huge impact on everything in my life, it would never be the same without you. If I were to wake up without you beside me, I just know it would be hell, because you are this little ray of sunshine that makes everything from me, to whatever it is in my life, so much better.
"Jack... I've been in love with you forever. And I will be in love with you forever, because true love never dies. I promise to love you through anything and everything, and I'll always be here. I'm sorry buddy, but now that you've got me, you're stuck with me forever. I promise that I'll try and be the perfect guy you deserve, because hell Jack, you deserve the world and so, so much more than I could ever give you."
By the time he finished, I hadn't even realized I was crying. He smiled that award winning smile that I had fallen in love with, and wipes my tears away with his thumb.
"How would you ever expect me to compete with that, Gabe? Jesus Christ." I mutter and shake my head. He laughs and rolls his eyes at me.
"Well, Gabe. You've been here through it all. Crying, fighting, heartbreak... Everything. That right there, means more to me than anything you could've ever done. Just by being here I know that you care. The fact that you haven't left me, proves that enough. I definitely know that being with me isn't easy. You get random things that you would never expect, and heaven knows what else, and you've stuck by me, so I swear that I'll stick by you no matter what.
"A lot of the time it doesn't feel like I show you that I love you enough, and I really wanna change that because you know what? I love you more than anything. I love you more than words could describe and I love you more than anything you could think of. You are my world. You're my sun, my moon, my stars. You're the ground beneath me. You're always there to catch me when I fall. What more could I ask for?
"Not many people get the chance to say they have or had a love like ours, because our love is real. You rarely find that anymore. This will probably sound like something you'd hear from a terrible 2010 rom-com, but our love is everlasting, honestly. We can last through anything because I know I'd never give this up. I couldn't. I would have to be an idiot to not realize that what we have, is the best I'll ever get.
"So, Gabe Barham, my fellow drummer. You precious human being." I say and muster a tiny laugh under my breath. "You've taken my heart and made it a home, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I swear that I'll always be here through whatever things anyone can throw at us, 'cause I am not losing you any time soon. I love you, Gabe Barham. And I swear, that you have my forever," I finish and look up at him, seeing tears in his eyes as well.
"Your forever is all that I need, Jack." He says, earning loud awes and some squeals from our friends.
"I do." I speak quietly.
"I do." He says after me, cupping my cheek in his hand and kissing me softly.
I kiss back and wrap my arms around his waist, pulling him closer. Right then and there, is the happiest I've ever been, because I just got married to the love of my life.
