Chapter 2: The Boys and Defending Pewds
"Good bye Em! We'll miss you!" Ryan yelled. I
"I'll miss you, too, Ryan. And you too, Julie and Sarah." We were at the barber shop, saying good-byes. You're probably wondering where my parents are. They're half way across the world in Australia. That's where they grew up at. Yup, I'm full blood Australian. After I was born, we moved here but my parents didn't like it here. But they also didn't want to take me back to Sydney, seeing as it is a big city and no place for a little 1 year old to grow up in. Or at least that's what they thought. So they gave me to Julie, a family friend, and I've been living with her ever since. Me and my parents Skype, but only on holidays or special occasions. So I'm not really close to my parents or family for that matter. They all love in Australia.
"I love ya, kid. Be safe." Julie told me.
"I love you, too. And I will." But Ryan had to ruin the moment.
"And use protection! Don't want any babies to run around the tour bus." He winks and I just roll my eyes.
"I should say the same thing." I reply.
"Sweetie, I ain't gonna get any. And you are way prettier than I'll ever be. At least one of them boys are gonna be attracted to ya. Just watch and see. And when you do fall, make sure he's there to catch you." I give Ryan an impressed look. He has never told me any of this.
"Where did this come from?" He shrugs.
"I've read plenty of sappy love stories to know about love. Trust me, honey." I nod and pack the rest of my things in the car Eric provided. Eric was the guy that came in yesterday. He's 5 Seconds of Summer's bodyguard.
"Alright, Emily, I think we need to get going." I nod and hug everyone one last time.
"Bye guys." I wave and climb into the car.
"Now, Indianapolis isn't that far from here, right?" I nod.
"It's only about 20 minutes or so." He nods and gets back to driving.
~Skip Car Ride~
"We're here." Eric says taking all of my bags. I look around.
"It seems like an empty parking lot." I said.
"You see that store, right in front of us?" I nod. "Right behind it, is our destination."
"Oh." I follow Eric until we reach behind the store. I look up. "Whoa." Right in front of me, is a bus. It was huge!
"I know right? He's a beauty."
"The boys named him Gus, so it would be weird to call it a girl." I nod.
"They boys, they seem pretty weird too."
"You wouldn't believe." He said. I follow him inside, and it looks a lot smaller then the outside. I am short for my age so my head doesn't touch the ceiling. But if I reached up, then my whole palm touches it.
"Where are they?" I ask.
"Most likely in the back room. Here's your bunk." He said pointing to an unused bunk. "Make sure you sleep with your head facing away from the front of the bus. I'll put your bags in the back room. Um... and I'll explain to the boys that we have a girl here so to make room in the bathroom. If you know what I mean." I giggle at his awkwardness toward the subject.
"Ok, good luck with that." I say. I grab the bag with my covers and stuff inside and jump into my bunk. Mine was one that was on top of another so I had to jump, due to how short I was. I make my small bed, and get out Leonardo. Leo is a neon pink stuffed bunny I cuddle with. I can't go to sleep without it. Even though I always wake up with it either off the bed or away from me. I move in my sleep and snore so these boys are in for a ride. Did I also mention that Leo is named after my favorite actor? Yeah, named after Leonardo DiCaprio. Don't judge, I think he is smoking hot. But anyways, after my bed part is all set up, I get my posters out. First, I get out my Nickelback and tape them on, making sure I don't use too much tape. Next I get my Green Day and The Beatles ones. Last but not least I get my YouTuber ones. Like PewDiePie, Connor Franta, Joey Graceffa, etc. I couldn't live without YouTube. I has a sweatshirt that says that too. I couldn't live without the Internet either. After that, I look around and feel satisfied. But, I search throughout my bag and find blue and pink Christmas lights. I poke my head out of my bunk, to see surprisingly no one out outside. I find a output and plug them in. They light up, and I tape them to the wall. Now, my bunk is complete. I love it! I quickly search for my laptop and log in to the wifi. I go on YouTube, put my headphones on, and watch YouTubers.
~About 2 hours later~
I was currently watching Shane Dawson play Cleverbot, and couldn't stop laughing. I was laughing so hard that I was snorting and sounded like I was hyperventilating. My laugh was horrible.
"What the hell was that noise?!" Someone yelled. I paused the video, still giggling and pulled back the curtain. I was meet with a face. He had almost black hair and really tan skin. I only saw the back of his head.
"Excuse me?" I asked. He spun around, looking scared. I saw the look on his face and started to laugh again. He blushed a Scarlett red.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Emily. And you are?"
"Calum. Why are you here?"
"I'm 5 Seconds of Summer's new stylist. Why are you here?"
"I'm apart of 5 Seconds of Summer."
"Oh. Well if you'll kindly leave. I'm in the middle of something." I say. He raises his eyebrows, and for the first time looks in my bunk.
"Wow, I've never meet a girl who liked Green Day but also the color pink." He said. I shrugged.
"Oh well, where's the other boys?" I ask.
"In the back still, I just came to get something out of my bunk, which is right in front of yours. So, Shane Dawson huh?"
"Oh, YouTubers are my life. Don't judge."
"I won't, I don't really watch YouTubers, but Luke does."
"Another member of the band?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm guessing you don't really know our band?"
"Nope, did Eric talk to you about the bathroom situation?" I ask, trying so hard not to laugh.
"Yeah....." He trails off. I laugh and he looks at me. "What?"
"You boys are so awkward about that subject."
"Whatever." He said in a playful tone.
"So are you gonna show me these boys that make up the other 3/4 of 5 Seconds of Summer?" He nods and I get out of my bunk, and stand next to him.
"Whoa, I didn't know you were this short."
"Well I didn't know you were this tall." He just shrugs and walks to this mirror. He does something and it slides open, revealing 3 boys completely absorbed in the TV. No one pays attention to me so I just sit in the little corner while Calum sits next to a blonde boy. He had dirty blonde hair and was tall, but I only saw his back. It looked like his hair was down, in a side swipe. It probably wasn't like that all the time. One of them had a bandanna on and a controller in his hand. He was concentrated so hard on the video game, that his tongue was sticking out. I giggled at how cute he looked. The other one had neon pink hair, it looked like cotton candy. My favorite color. He, too, had a controller in his hand. The TV flashed red, and the boys stopped playing.
"Ha! Beat ya Clifford!" Bandanna said.
"Shut up Ashton." Pink said. So Bandanna was Ashton. It fit him.
"Guys, we have a guest that will be staying with us. She's the girl Eric told us about." Calum tried to whisper the last part but I heard it. They turned around and looked at me. They were all pretty cute. Ok, they were all hot.
"Hi, I'm Ashton." Ashton waved, then he smiled. That smile was to die for. It showed his dimples, and that just made him more hot.
"I'm Michael." Pink said. He smiled.
"And uh..... I'm Luke." Blonde said. I giggled.
"What are you laughing at?" Ashton asked me.
"I'm laughing at how awkward Luke is. Like have you ever spoken to a girl before?" He blushed and I giggled some more. "Oh! By the way, I love the color of your hair, Michael. Reminds me of cotton candy."
"Cotton candy? Do you guys not have cotton candy in Australia? Oh! Sorry, reminds me of candy floss."
"Oh, you guys in America call it cotton candy?" Michael asked.
"So you're American?" Luke asked.
"But you have an accent?" Ashton said.
"I was born in Australia but moved here when I was 1. I'm a full-blooded Australian." I say proudly.
"Oh. How come you didn't stay in Australia?" Calum asked.
"My parents didn't like the idea of a 1 year old living in Sydney. So they stayed in Sydney while I lived with a family friend in Indiana."
"Oh, sounds complicated." Michael said.
"Not really." I shrug. "So, what were you guys playing?"
"COD." Luke replies.
"Call of Duty." Ashton confirms. I don't really play video games, I'm more of a YouTube girl, but you probably figured that out already.
"Do you play?" Calum asked.
"No, I stick to YouTube, and watch PewDiePie play."
"PewDiePie?" Luke, Michael, and Ashton say at the same time. Me and Calum look at them like they had 5 heads.
"Do don't know who PewDiePie is?!" We both semi-yell. They shake their heads.
"He's the most subscribed to person on YouTube!!!!" I say.
"I thought Smosh was." Luke says.
"Wow, you know who Smosh is but not PewDiePie! Wait here." I said and quickly go to my bunk. I grab my laptop and run back to the room. I go to the search bar on YouTube and type in 'PewDiePie funny montage', it pops up and I set the laptop in front of the 3 boys and press play.
"I can't believe they didn't know who PewDiePie was!" Calum whispered.
"I know right?! At least one of you knew. How old are you guys anyway?"
"I'm 18, Mike's 18, Ashton's 18 and Luke's 17. Ash's and Luke's birthday are next month. How old are you?"
"16, but turning 17 in 2 months." Calum nods. The video ends and I take my laptop back.
"Well?" I ask.
"He's hilarious!" Ashton exclaims.
"I love him already." Luke says.
"Eh, he's ok." Michael says. I give him the most meanest glare I could. He puts his hands up. "What?!"
"How dare you say that about Pewds." I say. He smirks.
"He's awful. He's not even close to funny." Michael challenges me. I huff.
"I wouldn't Michael. You'll regret it." I warn.
"He's completely childish." I pounce on him and pin him down. He was squirming under my grasp.
"Take it back."
"No." He sticks his tongue out and I dig my nail into his wrist. He yelps.
"I said take it back."
"F-Fine I take it back." I smirk and get off of him. He rubs his wrists and sat up. "Jeez." I just shrug innocently.
"Don't mess with my YouTubers, and there wont be any trouble." I giggle and walk out and jump into my bunk. Today was a good day. I wonder when I'll start doing hair instead of wrestling. Who knows.
