"Hachoo!" Brie sneezed once more.
"This is bad." Seb said although he was obviously only half affected.
"Nice deduction, Sherlock." Sam said. "There's no way you're going to school today."
"But today's Fashion Friday. I never miss Fashion Friday!" Brie whined.
"Well you'll miss it now. You can catch it next month, no big deal." Sam said, ignoring Brie's protests. "Hey hot british guy, we will leave Brie in your care today, okay? I want her in one piece when we come back." She said to Julian.
"I like her better in a bikini but sure." Julian said then he ducked when he saw Brie throwing a piece of used tissue at his direction. Instead it landed smack on Sebastian's shirt where it left a big spot of mucus.
Sebastian was shaking his head. "This is my best shirt, Brie. Nice Job." Then he left her room.
"Like I said." Sam threatened as she pointed on Julian while slowly making her way out of Brie's room.
"Guess we're stuck with each other today." Julian said as he sat on Brie's bed.
"Ugh! This is the worst day ever!" Brie said and then she crossed her arms her chest.
"Why would you say that?" Julian asked, eating some nuggets from Brie's bedside table.
"Well number one, I am sick. Two, I missed Fashion Friday and three I'm stuck with you." She answered.
"Number three is not a con. It's a privilege. Just think about this, you'll be spending your day in bed with a super hot guy who's gonna make you laugh all day long." Julian cockily said.
"You got the laughing part right." Brie said with a light chuckle. "Those nuggets are one week old." Then she laughed when Julian rushed to spit out the nugget he was eating.
"You tell me that now when I've had 5 out of 7 nuggets?!" Julian asked, shaking his head.
"Well you did make me laugh so it's worth it." Brie said.
Brie expected him to say a sassy come back instead he smiled and said. "I guess you're right."
Three hours later...
"What do wanna do now?" Julian asked Brie.
"Hmmm. I don't know. But I do want some donuts..." Brie said and yawned, her eyes a little droopy from exhaustion.
"Okay, I'll be right back." Julian said.
15 minutes later he came back with a box of donuts, 2 starbucks frappes and a big bar of chocolate.
"Where did you get all that?" Brie asked.
"I went on a quick trip to the town." Julian answered.
"To buy donuts."
"Because you said you wanted some donuts." He said.
She looked at him intently. "You went on a 15 minute trip to the town just to buy me some donuts because I said I wanted some." Brie stated.
"My brother wouldn't even let me borrow his guitar." Brie said.
"Well I guess I love you more than he does." Julian smiled. "Eat your donuts." He said then he opened the box and put one donut on a plate before handing it to Brie.
"Thanks." Brie sincerely said.
"What do you want to eat for lunch?" Julian asked her.
She didn't want to put him out so she answered, "Anything."
He looked at her straight in the eye. "What do you want to eat for lunch?" He repeated.
"I want some Chao Fan and some dumplings please." She finally answered.
10 minutes later the food was delivered.
"Anything else you want?"
"Nothing else." Brie said. Then there was a moment of comfortable silence before Brie asked Julian. "Why are you being so nice to me? You don't even like me. I annoy you and I fight you a lot. Most of the times I'm rude to you yet here you are, giving me exactly what I want. Why?"
He chuckled. "That maybe true. You do annoy me and we don't really get along that well but believe it or not, I genuinely like you. A lot." He answered with all honesty.
Brie smiled. "Thanks you." She said then she held out her pinky. "Promise from now on we'll be real nice friends?"
Julian smiled and hooked his pinky finger with hers, "I promise." He said. "Now eat so we can put you in that one piece Sam wants to see you in."
Instead of throwing a sarcastic or rude retort, Brie just laughed with him.
When Sam and Sebastian came back, they saw Julian and Brie both asleep on the latter's bed.
"Well would you look at that?" Sebastian said with a smirk.
"How long have Julian been in love with Brie?" Sam asked, dead serious.
Sebastian was surprised that Sam knew about his best friends feelings for his little sister. But he guessed that with a girl like Samantha, there's nothing you can hide.
"Since he was 12 and she was 10." He answered. "Although it took quite a while before he figured out for himself."
Sam smiled. "Oh boy. You're sister thinks he's faking it." Then she laughed. "She's in for a big surprise."
