Emily was taking a trip to London for vacation, and was staying for a week. She had flown all way to Thurso, Scotland, and was taking a train trip to London. She showed the man her passport, and tickets, and made her way to the seats. She was about to put her bag in the cabinet above her seat when someone walked over, and sat down. He was rather cute, and looked a bit familiar.
"Can I help you?" He asked catching her staring.
"No..." she said, "You look familiar, have we met'" she asked.
"Ha-ha, nice pickup line," he chuckled.
"No, really- who are you?" She asked trying to place his face.
"I'm a film actor," he said, "You know, Nanny McPhee, Love Actually," he said naming a few things.
"Nowhere Boy," a girl said walking up next to the row of seats, "The Maze Runner!" She added.
"This is my biggest fan, Ava...also known as my sister." He sounded happy as he said that.
"I'm Emily," she said to them, "I've never met a movie star before!" Emily was excited; she was sitting next to a movie star!
"Yeah, well, I'm just a person who pretends to be someone else on TV." He said, "I pretend for a living." He chuckled at his own comment before turning to Ava, "which seat are you in?" He asked her.
"I'm back there." She pointed over her shoulder to one of the back rows. She walked back there, and got settled in.
"I'm Thomas," he said holding a hand out to her.
"So, Thomas," Emily paused to dig in her bag for a minute, "You have a childish profession," she said.
"Your point?" He asked watching her dig around in her bag.
"Do you like to be childish sometimes?" She asked pulling out a 48 pack of crayons, and a coloring book. Thomas chuckled, and took the coloring book. He flipped through and decided on an octopus playing baseball. They were expecting a ten hour train ride so he agreed to color with her. While they colored Thomas told her about his life, and his job. While in turn Emily listened, and contributed small facts about her life. Thomas finished the last of his picture, and realized they had colored all the pages.
"I'm sorry about the full coloring book." He said closing it, he glanced over at the once brand new crayons, and saw they were all run down to little nubs, "And the crayons, I'll buy you more when we get to London," he said.
"It's a deal!" Emily laughed, and put the book, and crayons back in her bag.
"If you don't mind I'd like to sleep for a while," he said looking over at her.
"Oh, go ahead; I'll probably do the same!" Emily lied through her teeth. She knew she couldn't sleep through the day. But as she sat there the Sun began to set, and she got sleepy. Emily soon fell asleep, and when she woke up Thomas was listening to music. He was tapping on the back of his iPod. The screen lit up, and it said "Satisfaction" by The Rolling Stones. Emily chuckled. Thomas turned towards her, and cracked a smile.
"What?" He asked, "You like the Stones?" He asked.
"Oh, I don't know, I'm more of a Beatle girl myself," Emily said.
"Ah!" He smiled at her, "So, what brings you to London?" He asked her putting his iPod away.
"I need a vacation!" She said, "All my family is away, and I was all alone, so I decided to use my "Rainy Day Account" out of the bank, and here I am!" She chuckled.
"Good reason," he smiled again.
"What about you?" She asked, "What took you out of England?"
"I had a job, and Ava wanted to come along," he looked back to see Ava knocked out. They continued their small talk. By the time they ran out of things to talk about something would make a whole new conversation.
"What time is it?" Emily asked. Thomas looked down at his watch, and checked.
"About 5," he said.
"Our train ride is taking too long!" Emily said.
"In the morning." He said interrupting her fuss. She suddenly turned red a bit.
"Hello, can I get you both something?" The stewardess asked.
"You want anything?" He asked.
"I'll take Hot Chocolate," Emily said to the Stewardess.
"Make that 2," he said, "That's quite a childish drink," he chuckled, and sat up a bit.
"You got one too," she said looking out her window. Thomas sat there, and looked at her. After a minute he tapped her on the shoulder.
"When we stop, would you like to get breakfast with me?" He asked.
"I don't suppose you are asking me out on a date," Emily said.
"What? That was what I was aiming for was a date," he said, "Why wouldn't it be a date?"
"Your sister," Emily said, "She's traveling with you!" Emily said gesturing back towards Ava, who was still out cold. Thomas looked back, and cocked an eyebrow.
"She knows the way home!" He said turning to Emily, "Please?" He asked brushing some hair away from her face; he got closer to her lips, and was stopped short by the stewardess clearing her throat.
"I have hot beverages," Thomas chuckled nervously, and turned toward the stewardess. He took them and placed one in Emily's hand, and kept the other.
"Thanks," he said handing her some money, "Where were we?" He asked smiling.
"Sorry, she killed the mood!" Emily laughed, and took a sip of her hot chocolate. Thomas took the mug; and turned her closer to him.
"I don't care about the mood," he said, and pushed her lips to his. Emily was surprised her very first kiss was from a movie star, but was also excited it was her very first kiss. It was a little too short, but it was something.
"Is something wrong?" He asked after Emily didn't really kiss back.
"No... I'm just not too... uh, sure...what I'm doing," Emily stuttered, looking down, and blushing a bit.
"It's alright," he said, "Everyone's felt like that before," he smiled, and kissed her face before giving her her hot chocolate back.
