If Music is Love Expressed [For the Epic Poeticness Poetry Competition]

This wasn't meant to turn out really negative but it kind of did, and I have no clue why, so sorry about that :) and if you want to make me a cover, then please feel free!

If music is love expressed, then...

The gradual build up of strings is us
Dancing.
As we lock eyes for the first time,
Arms connected, minds connected.

If music is love expressed, then...

The rapid beat of drums is the
Quickening of our hearts as we
Collide as one.
Become one.

If music is love expressed, then...

The gliding of bows on strings is the way we
Glide through the room.
For this is what we've lived to do,
Loved to do.

If music is love expressed, then...

The clatter of cymbals symbolises our
Realisation.
Realisation that we're dancing in the same direction,
Drawing to the same conclusion.

If music is love expressed, then...

The drone of the orchestra gives us time,
Makes it seem like we dance in slow motion,
Live in slow motion,
Never feeling like we have to let go.

But if music is love expressed, then...

There will soon be the diminuendo,
The dropping off of puzzle pieces we slotted together,
Instruments falling from faces.

Silence.

And if music is love expressed, then...

It's a moment of happiness,
A seemingly-long string of perfect scenarios that
Attack our mind every second.
Peaceful.

Until we realise that music is only a period.
And that if it were love expressed it would be
Temporary.
Thrown away.

If music is love expressed, then...

It'll always come to an end.
