"So what do we need to talk about?" I asked, as we walked through the front door. "Babe, I'm going back on tour." Ashton said. "Ashton." I said. "But, I talked it over with the guys, and our manager, and they thought that it would be great to bring you with us!" He said. "Really!" I said. He nodded. "Lauren and Jackie can come too." He said. I smiled. "That's great! But what about work?" I asked. "Im sure your boss will be fine. And, you own your own floor, so." He said. I smiled.
"Calum, don't screw this up. This is the first time your watching her." I said. "I know. I won't screw this up." He said. "Alright. Jack! I'm leaving!" I yelled. "Bye mom!" She yelled, running into my arms. "Call me if Calum does anything." I said. "I will." She said.
"Hi Ms. Green." Nicole said. "Nicole, I told you millions of times, call me Ashley." I said. "Oh, your new client, is in your office." Nicole said. "Thank you. Oh, Roselyn needs to get that print to me, ASAP." I said. "I'll make sure she knows." She said. "Thanks." I said.
"Hi, I'm Ashley green." I said to my new client. "Michael?" I asked. "Ashley. This magazine is all wrong." He said. "Let me see." I said, looking at the page he opened to.
"Nicole." I said. "Yes?" She asked. "Get me Jocelyn." I said. "Will do." She said. "And, get on that thing with Roselyn." I said. She nodded, scared. "I'm so sorry about this Michael. Jocelyn must have published it, before I looked at it." I said.
"Jocelyn, did you publish this without me reading it?" I asked. "I did, and I am so sorry about that. Someone told me that this was true, and I believed it." She said. "Next time, have me read it, because I don't want this to happen again." I said. "Yes ma'm." She replied. "Get back to work." I said.
"Ms. Green, here is the print that you wanted." Roselyn said. "Thank you. Oh, and did you ever get on that subject about One Direction?" I asked. "I started it yesterday." She said. "Just make sure it is on my desk sometime this week." I said. She nodded.
"You're badass." Michael said. I laughed. "Whoa. I've never seen you in a skirt like that." He said, as I got up. I laughed. "But yet, you manage to flirt with me, and I'm dating Ashton." I said. He laughed. "I'll leave you to work." He said. "Thanks. Can you check up on Calum? Make sure he's okay?" I asked. He nodded, and kissed my cheek, and walked out.
"Calum." Jackie said. "What's up." I said, walking into the living room. "I'm hungry." She said. "What do you wanna eat?" I asked. "Can you make me grilled cheese? Mom makes it for me." She said. "Uh. Sure." I said, going into the kitchen.
Grilled cheese? What's grilled cheese? How do you make grilled cheese? It sounds nasty. Grilled cheese. Is that like cheese that is grilled? So, you put cheese in a pan, and grill it?
While I was trying to figure out what the hell grilled cheese was, I noticed a girl going back and fourth out of the house next door. I must say, she looked pretty from the angle I was at.
I watched as she went in and out of the house. Bringing in boxes. She was a few boxes in, when she dropped it, and the things came flying out. I took Jackie, and ran outside.
"Hey, do you need help?" I asked. "Oh um. I think I'm good." She said, bending down to pick up the things. "Jackie, stay here. And don't tell mom about this." I said. "Got it." She said.
"Here, let me help." I said, picking up the things she dropped on the ground. "You play?" I asked, pointing to a guitar that I saw in the corner of my eye. "Uh, yeah. Bass." She said. "Me too." I replied.
"Thanks for, uh, helping me." She said. "No problem." I said. Jackie came up to me, an held my hand. "She yours?" She asked. "Oh, uh, no. Her mom is a friend of mine, shes at work, so, I have to watch her." I replied. "Shes cute." She said. "Not as cute as you." I replied. "Hey! Mom and dad say im the cutest person!" Jackie yelled. "Yes, and I am sorry. You are the cutest person." I said, picking her up. "I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Kyla." She said. "Calum, and this is Jackie." I replied. "Nice to meet you Calum." She said.
"Hey, what is a grilled cheese?" I asked. "Grilled cheese? Oh, uh, it's pretty simple. It's bread, and cheese." Kyla replied. "Do you know how to make it?" I asked. "Yeah." She replied. "Follow me. I need your help." I said. She laughed, and followed me.
"So, how old are you Kyla?" I asked, as she made grilled cheese. "Seventeen." She replied. "Nineteen." I said. "You're not from here are you?" She asked. "No, Australia. My mates girlfriend lives here, so instead of going home, we come here. But, Luke, my best mate, went home to see his mum." I replied. She nodded.
"One grilled cheese." Kyla said, handing Jackie a plate. "Thank you!" Jackie yelled, skipping out of the kitchen. "Hold up." I said. "Back it up." I said. "Beep. Beep. Beep." Jackie said, as she backed up. "Eat it here." I said. "But Calum." She said. "Eat it here." I said. "But mom let's me eat it in Lauren's room." She said. "Lauren's room? Lauren won't even let dad eat in her room. She won't even let Harry." I said. She sighed. "And mums not here now is she. I am not gonna screw this up." I said. She sighed, and sat down.
Jackie stood up with her plate, and walked slowly down the hall. "Jaclyn Rose Green!" I yelled. "Why can't I eat in there!" She yelled. "Because I said so, now eat it here, or don't eat it at all." I said. She gave me those sad eyes. "Don't. Don't give me those sad eyes." I said. "Calum." She said. "Don't give me the sad eyes." I said. "Mum gives me those. Go ahead." I said. "Yay!" She yelled.
I came home to the girls fighting, and Calum sitting on the couch, with some girl. "Calum." I said. "Hey ash. The girls won't stop fighting." He said. "Yeah, I can hear that." I said.
"Alright, what happened." I said, walking into Lauren's room. "Jackie ate in my room!" Lauren yelled. "Voices down." I said. "Calum said I could!" Jackie yelled. "Don't blame it on me!" Calum yelled. "Jackie, I told you never to eat in her room." I said. "But I wanted to. I like her room." She said.
"Calum. What the hell." I said. "I couldn't make them stop." He said. "Did you bother to call Ashton?" I asked. "He's in Australia. How is he gonna get here." He said. I sighed loudly.
"You okay?" He asked. "Just a stressful day at work." I said. "Can you watch them? I barely got any sleep last night, and just so much stress at work. A magazine went out about Michael, and everything on the page wasn't true. She didn't even have me read it over. And I had a meeting today, about another magazine coming out, about new artists. And, just so much stress." I said. "I'll watch them." He said. "Ashley." He said. I turned to him. "Just don't." He said. "Don't worry. I won't. Even if I wanted to, Ashton would get mad at me, and Jackie would start to do what she did before, and that won't happen." I said. "Okay. Just tell me if you feel like you need to." He said, I nodded.
"That's Ashley. Jackie's mother." I said, as Ashley closed her bedroom door. "I figured. What did you mean by don't?" Kyla asked. "Ashley has a habit of... Self harming when she is stressed." I said. "Oh." She replied.
"Hey Laur." I said. "What cal." She snapped. "Ashley is trying to sleep. She had a stressful time at work, so could you maybe stop fighting?" I said. "Fine. Oh, and cal." She said. "I made a friend today." She said. I smiled. "Ashton will be happy for you. Do you have any homework?" I asked. She nodded. "Get doing it." I said.
