"Why are you still home?" Mikey asked, walking into the kitchen. "Ashton took me out of school." I replied, with my head down. "Why? Pick up your head." He said. "I don't think I should." I said. "And why's that?" He asked. "Why are you here Mikey?" I asked. "I always come here when no one is home. Now, pick up your head." He said. I took a a deep breath.
Wait for it. Wait for it. Now! "Who did this! What happened! I'll kill them!" He screamed. There it is! "Calm down. Ashley took care of it already. And, that's why Ash took me out of school." I said. He calmed down. "Liz should be calling me soon for tutoring." I said. "Liz? She's tutoring you?" He asked. I nodded. "Good luck." He said, kissing my head.
"Nicole, do you have something for me? I'm supposed to get a package." I said. "Um. No. Not that I know of." She replied. I nodded. "If I get a package. Just tell me." I said. She nodded. "Oh, Ashley." She said. I looked at her. "Thanks for everything you did. The apartment is going great. Miles loves it." She said. I smiled. "Glad I could help." I said.
"Meeting in five." Rosalie yelled into my office. I sighed, and got up. Meetings are super boring. Like, all you do is talk about the newest topics in the world. I ran into the work room, with tons of papers in my hands.
"Alright. So, I have... Calum Hood proposing to his girlfriend." An intern said. Everyone looked at me. Because I have my way into the celebrity world, everyone goes to me to see if it's true or not. "Not true. Don't put it." I said. She nodded.
"Lauren Irwin taken out of school." Someone said. I turned around, seeing Michael standing there, looking pissed. "Um. Excuse me. Nicole, take it away." I said, getting up.
I grabbed Michael's ear, and pulled him into my office. "What the hell." I said. "Why didn't you tell me what happened with Lauren?" He asked. "Ashton took care of it." I said. "He didn't tell me." He said. "He said he told you." I replied. "Well, he didn't." He said, getting even angrier. I sighed. "Great. Just great." I shook my head.
"I heard about the biggest priority thing." Michael said. I sighed. "It's true though. Lauren is pretty much his biggest priority." He said. "And he has a one year old daughter. That's his. And Jackie. And me. If anything, Nicole should be his biggest priority. But obviously she's not, since he got her sick." I said. He sighed. "He wasn't thinking, Ash." He said. "Does he ever think? Because, he got my one year old sick. Oh, let's not forget about Jackie. She's sick too. Thanks to him not watching her." I said. He sighed.
"It's not working out the way I wanted it to." I said. "What? No, no Ashley. It is." He replied. "Everything is falling apart. We're eight months away from our wedding. Eight months. I don't know if I can last that long." I said. "You can. Ashton is always like this. Don't give up on him." He said. I shook my head. "I would never give up on him. But I will lose faith." I said.
I know Ashley needs me right now. I know I need to be an adult. So, that's what I am going to do. "Dad." Jackie said, walking into the kitchen. "Lady bug, go lay back down." I said. "I feel better." She said, still sounding sick. "Nice try. Go." I said, pushing her back to the couch. I heard her sigh.
"Dada! Dada!" Nicole screamed. I ran into her room, seeing her standing up. "Dada!" She yelled. I smiled. "Lay back down." I said. She sat right down. "Alright, stay." I said. She giggled, and laid down. "Dad! Mum's home!" Jackie yelled. I smiled, and walked out of Nicole's room.
"What's all this?" Ashley asked, walking into the dining room. "Well. I decided to be the perfect man in your life. So, I made you a nice dinner. Your favorite, chicken franchise, with white rice, and some nice white wine." I said. She smiled. "Babe, this is amazing." She said. I smiled. "Thank you." She said. I smiled. "Are you going to eat?" She asked. "Of course. When the meal is finished. And when I get Nicole and Jackie to sleep. In about... five minutes." I said. "You can go change, I got everything." I said. She smiled.
"Dinner, it served." I said, plating a piece of chicken, with white rice. Ashley smiled, and sat down. "Michael stopped by today." She said. I nodded. "He told me. He called me after he left. Which is why... I wanted to do this. To show you I can be that person. That you're my biggest priority. That you don't need to lose faith in me." I said. She smiled. "I would never." She said, laughing. I smiled.
"So, how was work?" I asked. "Busy. Three meetings. Two photo shoots. Just so busy." She said. I nodded. "Nicole is getting better. So is Jackie. Lauren and Liz did good today. Got a lot done." I said. She nodded. "Good." She said. I nodded. "Listen, I want to say sorry." I said. "For what?" She asked. "For being so childish. I'm a father now. And you're going to be my wife." I said. She smiled. "And I love you." I said. "Love you too." She replied.
