"Lauren, please wake up." I said, trying to wake her up. "Let me sleep." She cried. "No, Lauren. Wake up. Now." I said. She rolled over, and covered her ears with a pillow. "If you don't wake up, I will call Ashton. And you know what happens after that." I said. She opened her eyes, and got up. "That's what I thought." I said, walking out of the room.
"Mom, where's dad?" Jackie asked. "Honey I told you. He will be here next week." I said. "I miss him." She said. "I do too, but he will be here next week, for a whole year." I said. She smiled.
"I'll pick you up after school." I said to Lauren. "Don't worry about it. I'd rather walk." She snapped. "Alright. Well, ill see you when you get home then. Love you." I said. "Yeah, whatever." She said. "Hey, what's wrong." I said. "Nothing. Just let me get out." She said. "Fine. But I want to talk with you after school." I said. She rolled her eyes, and got out of the car.
"Hey babe." Ashton said over Skype. "Hey." I replied, with a fake smile. "Everything okay?" He asked. "Yeah, it's just that Lauren hasn't been...herself lately." I said. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Well, she has been rolling her eyes, giving me a hard time in the morning. Yelling. Not helping. It seems as if shes...I don't know." I replied. "I'll talk to her about it next week." He replied. I nodded. "So, are you excited to come home?" I asked. "Yes! I can't wait! I also can't wait to see you..." "Ashton!" I yelled. He laughed.
The door swung open, and Lauren walked in, and walked into her room, and slammed the door. "See what I mean." I said to Ashton, who was still on Skype. "Talk to her babe." He said. "Like I didn't try." I replied. "Just try again. If not, I'll talk to her when we get back. Three days you know." He said. I smiled.
"Lauren." I said, knocking on her door. "Can I come in?" I asked. I heard a click, and the door opened. "Honey, what's wrong?" I asked her. "Nothing." She replied, grabbing a binder. I took the binder away from her. "Alright. Guess I'm not doing homework." She said, sitting back. "I'll write a note to your teachers." I said.
"Please talk to me." I said. "Fine. You wanna talk. Tell me why you don't wanna marry Ashton!" She yelled. I sighed. "Honey, it's not that I don't wanna marry him.." "Then what is it!" She yelled. "We aren't ready yet. We are going too fast in a relationship. We need to slow it down. And that's what we are doing. We said that a few months after the baby is born, we will. But everything is stressful." I replied. "So, it's not because you don't love him?" She asked. "Of course not. I love him honey. No matter what." I replied. She nodded.
"Come on." I said. "Where?" She asked. "We're having a girls night out." I replied. "But, I have homework." She said. "And?" I asked. "I need to do it." She said. "No you don't. You're not going tomorrow." I replied. "Why not?" She asked. "I need you're help to set up the house for Ashton." I said. She smiled.
