The sunset devoured the blue skylight. It was turning dark as the beginning of darkness filled the untamed sky. Stars subbing out the twinkle of the sky and the ripening of another moon.
Acarah stared up at the space listening as the wind whispers beneath her ears. The bell from the cathedral at the city near Devidol clung slow seconds at a time like a piece of lullabye that creeps through horror films.
She sighed and glanced shortly for the last time as she jumped down the fence of the little balcony.
"Are you sure we should trust that king of... Devidol?" she asked looking at the dark entrance.
"I know nothing either." Kan replied as he leaned on the wall.
"I wanted to ask Terra about this but-"
"I'm tired of digging. And I can't afford to suffocate you again for the million times now." Kan cut her off.
The girl rolled her eyes as she started to walk in and weighed herself at her bed. "I do not understand why I feel this uncertainties that the king-who is my father's brother, is untrustworthy. Even the man we met at the metropolis. I felt tricked." she complained.
Kan entered the room too and sat at the other bed. "And most of all, I do not like to interrupt your... Acarah in complain state, but, maybe we should watch them first before doing something that might lead us to... you know, treason."
Acarah let out another sigh. "Well, I guess I'll let you think for now for our move so I won't get embarrassed someday." She pulled a cloth and wrapped herself with it.
Kan just stared at her then after that, he lie down too, closing his eyes as he capture the fantasy of his dreams.
'It was weird, a temple made of gold. a paredise in the unknown space. Kan looked around and found himself standing there. the place was glowing... then he walked around still journing his eyes to the unexplainable place.
"Kan, you're magnifecent." He heard a woman's voice and quickly tracked it's origin.
A beautiful woman who wear a gold silk, and gold veil. "W-who- who are you?" he asked bewildered.
"It is I, Terra. I guess you have not known me for I only visited you when you are an infant." Terra smiled making steps towards him. "And I am glad to see you again, after eighteen years, protecting your princess."
Kan blushed. "I... I... you know, doing what I was supposed to be doing." he said.
The guardian giggled and caressed his cheeks. "Kan, I wish I could speak a little longer with you... but, your ability is not yet sharpen. All you have to do is just, protect her. Keep her safe by your arms and she shall be stronger and soon will fulfil her only wish." she paused as her eyes soften and smiled. "After the war of hate, she shall be ready to be your queen. just lead her and she will be enlighten." Terra remeved her hands from Kan's cheeks.
"But wait! I need to know about the king of Devidol! is he safe for us?" Kan asked.
But everything turned into a blinding light as he hear a voice echoing his name.
"Kan!" Acarah rocked him off the bed and he fell with a groan.
"What's wrong with you?" Kan asked massaging his head as he looked up at Acarah who was standing in front of him.
She crossed her arms and raise an eyebrow. "Uhm... I was supposed to be the one asking that..." She said. "So, what's wrong with you?"
"what do you mean what's wrong with me?" Kan was now bewildered.
"You.Were.Glowing. So... mind telling me what's wrong with you now?" she asked impatiently as she stared at him.
Kan stiffed. "I... I did?" he asked.
Acarah hissed now and looked at the ceiling. "Why would I ask if you did not?!"
"Okay, my bad!" Kan rose his hands in a mannner of surrender. "I was speaking to terra." he admitted.
Acarah's expression changed. she was now surprise. "What?! How come you did not get burried?" she asked.
"Well, I don't know." He said also bewildered. "I thought it was just a mere dream."
"So... what did she say?" Acarah sat in front of him excitedly and that made him fell uncomfortable. "Go on, tell me her thoughts with you."
Kan stared as her and she stared back. "I.." he paused and noticed the expression of Acarah's face. It made him grin, he could not help it. "She said I was magnifecent. And I should lead you."
her face turned bitter and disappointed. "Perhaps, she wished for you to guard me." she mumbled.
Kan chuckled at the moment and patted Acarah's head messing her hair. "I'm a man brat. And I should lead you." He said in teas.
"Tss. you're worst that I'll ever expect. And that what I hate the most." She stood up and went to her bed to sleep again.
