Today was the day. I took a deep breath and thought to herself, "I'm about to meet Ricky Dillon. This is actually happening." I remembered the day my best friend, Joanne had told me that Ricky was coming to Denver. Joanna and I (whom people at school called us B and J) were screaming, ignoring the people giving us dirty glances. We jumped up and down, yelling "Ri-cky's-co-ming-to-Den-ver-next-week!"
I snapped out of my flashback. Should I tell him about my dreams? I thought to myslef. I quietly shook my head. He would think I'm a complete freak. And my every chance with being with him will fail. I straightened out my adorable red mini skirt and smoothened out my handmade shirt which read "RICKY DILLON IS LOVE, RICKY DILLON IS LIFE." and left left my house and hopped into my car.
On my way to the mall where Ricky was, I picked up J. She was wearing a tight yellow shirt which exposed her fat belly, along with very short shorts which showed her huge thighs. Her makeup was always on point as was her hair. It was just her body that was extremely obese. J always got teased for it, but she didn't care a bit.
I was the exact opposite. My body was model thin, but my face and makeup was always messed up. I wasn't confident like J, and always felt aware of myself. Today, though, I felt gorgeous. My hair was in perfect beach waves and my makeup was, like J's, on fleek. I waved to J, who practically ran into the car with a worried look on her face.
"B! We're already three minutes late! Let's get a move on!" she yelled. I sighed. This was going to be a long ride.
1 HOUR LATER
J and I were at the mall, in the front of the line. Just two people more and we'd meet the love of our lives. Joanna looked confident and ready, while I was more than nervous -- I was a wreck. Ever since my father died, Ricky's videos had given me strength to be who I was. What would I say to this hero? What if he found me weird? What if he had a crush on Joanna and not on me? Before I knew it, I was walking into the big room in which Ricky was waiting.
Everything blacked out. All the lights, all the people, everything but Ricky. He was sitting a chair, looking at me the same way he had in my dreams. I was speechless. I stared at him, and he stared back. He looked stunned, though Ididn't know why.
"Brielle?" he said in a shocked voice.
