5. Struggles of having a son
Sierra was at home with Brixton today and was feeling as stressed as she had ever been. Brixton was wanting to play with every toy he owned as well as having complete control over the TV and driving Sierra crazy whilst she was trying to do homework for beauty school. With Matt and her parents out at work as well, she couldn't just palm him off with them to get her assignment done to a high standard.
"Mom are you home yet?" Sierra asked as she grabbed the phone to relieve herself of being needed 24/7. "My shift isn't finishing for another 2 hours honey. Why?" Her mom, Connie Thompson said. "Ergh! Mom I'm so stressed out! Brixton is annoying me whilst I'm trying to finish homework and I haven't got anything done in 2 hours!" Sierra yelled. "Your sister is home, call her. I'm sorry honey but he's your son and that's what you signed up for when you decided to keep him. Ok I've gotta go, love you bye." And with that, Connie hung up.
"Annie, I need you." Sierra said as she called her sister. "What now, Sierra. I just woke up after a well deserved nap." Annie Thompson yawned down the phone. "Can you look after Brixton for a few hours? He's driving me crazy." Sierra yelled. "No! I've got my own kid to look after as well, you know! He's your kid, look after him!" Annie yelled back. "Annie I've got a fricking assignment due in this week and I've got nothing done at all!" "I'm sorry Sierra, just let him be. I've gotta go." Annie said before hanging up. "Oh my god!" Sierra yelled to herself. "What's wrong mommy?" Brixton asked as he walked towards her. "Mommy is trying to do this work but I can't whilst I'm looking after you." Sierra said, pulling her son up onto her lap. "Will you go and watch TV so mommy can get this done?" Sierra asked. "Yes mommy." Brixton said, Sierra kissing his forehead. "I'll get you a snack and bring it over." She said, putting him down on the floor and watch him run to the sofa to watch TV. She could finally get something finished for once.
