Hi, I'm Sierra Thompson. I gave birth to my son, Brixton on 2nd April exactly 2 years ago when I was only 16 years old with my fiance, Matt. It wasn't easy being pregnant as a teenager, especially with my mom and dad not approving of Matt because of the trouble he got into at the time of my pregnancy and they briefly threw me out after discovering I was pregnant and wasn't aborting for their benefits.

2 years on, my parents accepted I had child and my relationship was strong so they let me move back in for a while until Matt and I could afford our own place. I'm now at beauty school and Matt has a steady job in a car dealership as he is a year older and is currently 20 so we are doing OK. My parents suddenly became OK with teenage pregnancy when my sister, Annie who is 16 now got pregnant and had a daughter, Bria and my brother got his girlfriend pregnant when they were 18.

With 3 kids responsible for causing a well known, respected family to be looked down on, I guess I understand now why my parents hated the idea of being grandparents at a young age and being scared about what could happen to us but I'm glad we've all pulled through the struggles and hardships of being teen moms and dads.
