13. Holidays and Hardships

Maci had been back from Florida for a week and was already booking another holiday for herself and Marlee out to Orlando again. Tom had also got back in touch with her for the first time in months, asking for visitation with Marlee but after Maci brought up going to court to fix it he just flipped.

Marlee was at daycare today as Maci had morning classes so when school was done, she drove to her parents to tell them abou what happened with Tom.

"Hey guys." Maci said as she entered her family home. "What's up, Mace?" Lynda Bracken asked as Maci went into the kitchen. "Tom text me today." She said. "Oh really." Lynda said, putting down the plate she was washing. "What did he say?" "He wants to see Marlee. I said he could if we had proper visitation or custody agreements through the courts but he just flipped and spoke to me like I was trash." Maci sighed. "Your thinking the right way, honey. If he wants to see her, you need a real custody agreement or get supervised visitation in a centre." George Bracken said. "Call him again when your going to pick up Marlee and tell him he will only see her if an agreement is in place." Lynda said. "Well I should probably be going anyway. It's just so hard with Marlee having a deadbeat like him." Maci sighed. "Well I'll see you later, love you." She said before heading out to the car.
