We pulled up to a normal looking house, in which i recognized from the night before. It was weird, yet strangely satisfying how normal it looked, and it was in a somewhat lovely neighborhood. A sense of relief waved through my body.
The car engine stopped and Ashton looked at me, smirking. i furrowed my eyebrows as i uncomfortably looked away. He placed his hand on thigh and i smacked him off as i snapped around my head to see him still smirking. he snickered.
"Don't touch me, ever" i starred at him and looked away, undoing my seat belt.
"I think at some point you're going to want me to" he grinned and i rolled my eyes, getting out the car and slamming the door. It wasn't long before he did the same thing, getting out, an angry look on his face as he nodded his head towards the front door. My heels clopped along the floor as we walked side by side up the path to the front door.
"Don't ever, raise your voice at me again." he said unlocking the door.
"and if i do?" i responded to him.
He looked at me intently before walking into his house, he held the door and gestured for me to come in, so i did. The house was how i remembered, surprisingly clean considering the type of people i believed these to be, i was very cynical about them.
He led me to the living room where 3 other people were sat. The room was lightly lit and the atmosphere was so quiet, the sound of indoor talking voices being spoke. I followed Ashton and sat next to him on the black leather sofa. The 3 other people shifted their attention to me and i felt extremely uncomfortable.
They all smiled and i returned it, it being in my polite nature. The one with the died colored hair grinned at me, using his left eye to wink at me.
'C'mon Mel, you cannot let this get to you.' my inner self spoke as i returned his wink with a smirk. I felt Ashton look at me as i did so. I looked up at him and rolled my eyes before placing my hands on my lap and the one with the quiff-ed hair and lip ring started speaking. I recognized him from before.
"So, tonight is a big night, we have to meet with the new supplier..." he went on as i tried to come to terms with what i was hearing.
"We also have to deal with our old supplier and the person who deals with our old shipment, and we all know, its not going to end well..." snickering he was not long joined by the rest of the boys. I sat there awkward still.
"We need you" he referred to me as he used his hand to gesture towards me. "to kind of be a distraction... be your normal slutty self..." he grinned.
"and what makes you think I'm a slut?" a hint of disgust yet sass in my voice as i furrowed my eyebrows at the male.
"we know people Melissa, thats all you need to know for now." i nodded and Ashton rubbed his hand against my knee, i removed his hand from my leg, without making any big deal towards it. I looked at him and frowned and he looked away.
I smirked to myself. This whole thing being absolutely obsured to me, but deep down knowing i have to, embrace this, i guess? I shook my head.
"Melissa, you will go with Ashton to where it all gets delt with, Michael and Cal you're with me" They stood up and i imitated them, following them out of the room. I trailed behind them, grabbing onto Ashton's arm, he looked down upon me and smiled.
We walked out the house before the others, they had to grab stuff i don't know. I got in the now familiar car and did my belt. I felt way more at ease being now alone with Ashton, i suppose being with him more than i have with the others gives me a nice comfortable feeling.
I sat there while Ashton mimicked my actions and started the engine of the car. he looked at me and nodded.
"You okay?" he asked, his eyes sort of glimmered as he spoke to me, i could hear the concern in his voice? I was abit taken back by this, but i nodded.
"Yeah, I'm... okay" i smiled at him, as his eyes starred right into mine.
"Good" he replied while pulling out of the driveway.
"What do you guys expect me to actually do?" i asked curious.
"And what if all of this what i now have to do isn't me, isn't me being myself?" i retorted back to him.
"Well its gonna have to be."
"And what if i cant do what you guys expect me to do?" I turned my head to look at Ashton, his one hand holding the new lit cigarette and the other on the steering wheel.
"You're just gonna have to learn to be what we expect... and more."
