It's In Need Of Some More Words...
(Fun-and-let’s-not-get-killed-or-in-jail-weekend Part 2)
I ran around splashing everyone as we walked through the river. The camping we did at the mountain had been amazing, and now we were making our way back down. I have no idea as to why I am so hyper, when I barely got any sleep, but being with my friends surrounded by nature is something that makes me excited.
“Stop doing that Cat.” Tucker whined as I ran around him. “This is not the way I want you to make me wet.” He added with a wink.
“GROSS!” I shouted running away from him only hearing him laughing. “Hey Calum!” I smirked as I placed my arm around his shoulder. “How is my favourite non-Asian guy doing?”
“Hey Central American gal.” Calum chuckled. “I’m doing perfectly fine. May I question why are you so happy?”
“I don’t know!” I exclaimed as I danced around. “Being around nature makes me happy.” I smiled. “Plus, I am with amazing people.” I winked.
“I’m glad that you are having the time of your life.” Michael spoke as he walked beside me. “It’s nice to have a girl with us.”
“Maybe next time I can bring my friends.” I shrugged. “We are going to be more, and I won’t be the only girl.” I stuck my tongue out causing them to chuckle.
“Sure,” Luke agreed. “But you are the only girl allowed in the five sauce team.”
“Hey! You are using the name I suggested!” I exclaimed and tackled him with a hug. “That makes me happier than I already am!”
“I just hope I can make you that happy.” I could swear Ashton whispered as he walked beside Luke and I.
I frowned as I got up and followed the lads. What did Ashton mean? I mean, I am not stupid, people keep saying that he likes me, and I might like him, but I don’t really think that Ashton wants to be in a relationship with me. I definitely know that I am not girlfriend material, I am not sweet, nice or you know, girly, I’m pretty much a girl with a dude attitude…
I took in a deep breath and decided against to think about that, you know Ashton and I in a relationship, and decided to enjoy the last day of this awesome trip. I didn’t know what we were going to do once we returned to the beach house, but I don’t really care, being surrounded by this awesome people is better than being at home watching re-runs of Full House.
“Where are we going now?” I questioned as I joined Alex and Damien in the front. “Are you guys going to tell me where we are going?”
“Heading to the beach.” Damien replied. “We are going to surf.”
“Could any of you guys teach me?” I questioned.
“Teach you what?” Ashton questioned as he joined us.
“How to surf. I don’t know.” I gave him a smile. “Could you teach me?”
“Me?” Ashton pointed at himself and I nodded. “If you like.”
“Thanks!” I kissed his cheek and ran off splashing water as I tried to get to the beach faster.
I resurfaced and coughed the water out. I wiped my eyes and tried to focus on the voice that was calling my name. I shook my head and searched for the board as I moved around. Finally locating it, I swam towards it and sat back on it. Ashton appeared at my side with a smile soon after. This was my third attempt at surfing, and so far, I have managed to maintain myself for more than two minutes on the board.
“You okay?” Ashton questioned as he rested his chin on my leg.
I gave him a nod. “Yeah, didn’t drink too much water.” I let out a chuckle.
“You are doing better Cata, you can’t really expect to be a pro at the first couple of goes.” He patted my leg. “Do you want to give it one more time or shall we head over to fix the bonfire we are having later tonight?”
“Let’s give it one more time.” I suggested. “After I fall down on my arse again, we can go and fix the bonfire thingy.”
Ashton patted my leg and started guiding me once again on how to maintain my balance on the board. I would have sworn that surfing and snowboarding would somehow be relatively the same, but man, I’ve never been so wrong in my whole and entire life.
I rubbed my arms as I sang, or try to, along with the lads. Michael strummed the guitar to any song that he could think of, and we would all sing along with them. Everyone was having the time of his or her lives, and we couldn’t complain. As we settle down from singing, the lads starting talking about random stories.
“How’s the channel going?” I questioned as I sat back down.
“It’s going awesome.” Calum replied. “We are even thinking of releasing our own song.”
“Yeah,” Luke nodded. “As soon as we have it finished and recorded.”
“You have part of it?” Alex questioned.
“Like a verse.” Michael replied. “Wanna hear it?”
“Sure!” I beamed.
“Okay, but remember, it’s in need of some more words...” Ashton spoke before Michael started strumming his guitar again.
You're just a little bit out of my limit
It's been two years now you haven't even seen the best of me
And in my mind now I've been over this a thousand times
But it's almost over
Let's start over
I'm a forever sorry for taking so long in updating, I was busy with Uni and I managed to also sprain both my ankles, at different time, in a matter of two months *rolls eyes* but I am back, I still have another week off before I start my last trimester at Uni, and I promise that I will try my best to update faster. Thank you so much! Hope you guys enjoy the chapter.
