"Oh my god!" He gasped."I was meant to meet you, I'm so sorry. Come in you two, it's raining." He half shouted, as if we didn't know; we were the ones stood in the rain, after all. I hesitated slightly, but Dan walked up beside me.
"Come on," he nodded, walking past me, and into the house. There wasn't much point in staying outside, so why not go in for a bit,I could always remind my Grandma later. I walked in, and was hit by a warm breeze, and a luxurious smell. He had to be rich, maybe he wasn't who I thought he was. He could be a nice, posh person who drank tea all day while he studied for maths tests, and French exams. Maybe.
"Do you want a tea? Coffee? Maybe Hot chocolate? " Alex asked once we were inside.
"Coffee would be nice." Dan called, slumping on the sofa. It was freezing, so I asked for a hot chocolate.
"Dan, you staying tonight?" Alex asked him, carrying a tray of mugs.
"May as well. "
"Here you go. "He passed me a hot cup with marshmallows and creme falling over the top.
"Thanks. " I sat down next to Dan and took a sip. It was luxury.
"So, you staying tonight?"
"Me?" Was I being invited to some sort of 'social' thing, with friends?
"Yeah you, Maya. " Alex giggled slightly.
"Yeah sure, I'll have to tell my grandma though. "
What was I doing? I've only just met these two, and I was staying at their house? It was only for a bit, I didn't even know how to get to my grans, and my parents wouldn't care; they were on holiday.
About an hour later I texted my Grandma to tell her I was staying over at Alex's.
Me: Hey Grandma, I'm staying at my Friend's tonight if that's ok :) xx
Grandma: That's fine Love, tell me if you need a lift over tomorrow :-) xx
Me: I will, thanks love you :)xx
Grandma: Have fun, love you too :-) xx
There we go, I could stay. I ran into Alex's room (after knocking on the door, did not want to see... anything else.) and jumped on this bed.
"I'm staying." I smiled at him, and he lied down next to me.
"Good," He smiled back. His smile was perfect, and his hair, and eyes. He was just perfect. This was getting awkward, we were sat staring at each other for what seemed like hours, but it was probably about 5 seconds.
"So, you got some clothes to wear?" He asked, breaking the silence.
"Erm no, but I've got another top, I'll wear that."
"Good, you've got 3 rooms to choose from, they're all upstairs, so just pick one, make sure Dan's not in there though, that would probably get awkward." We both laughed.
"Okay, I'll go find one."
"Okay. Don't go in the biggest room on the top floor, that's my parents' for when they come home, they hate people going in There." He shouted as I left the room.
I went upstairs to find a room for tonight. There was plenty of them, so I could pick out of the 3 empty ones. But there was 4. I decided to check all of them, to see if they were good to stay in, and empty. I walked into the first room, a large, red room, with a few windows, and a huge bed. It looked really nice, and it was tidy; no one was sleeping in here.
When I walked in the second someone was lying there. He had black hair, and long legs stretched down the bed. The room was quite tidy, but there was a cup of... tea, I think, on the drawers, and an Iphone charging at the bottom of the bed. I dropped my phone on the floor, which made quite a loud bang, surprisingly. The guy on the bed woke up, and looked at me, shocked.
"Oh my god, what the hell!"
"Oh, sorry, I was.. just.. um.. looking for an empty room." I smiled at him, trying to make this less awkward than it was.
"Okay...Hi." He sat up.
"Hi, I'm Maya."
"Hey, I'm Phil, are you usually here..?"
"No, I'm Alex and Dan's friend, I'm just staying for tonight." I said, about to walk out the door.
"Okay, have fun then. Don't go upstairs by the way, you really don't want to do that." He muttered the last part. Why was everyone telling me not to go upstairs? It couldn't be that bad, could it?
I decided to settle with the 3rd room, I'd probably bump into someone else sleeping in the next room. This one was blue, with a reddish bed, and large window. It was slightly smaller than the others, but I didn't need much space for tonight. I threw my phone gently on the bed, I knew I'd break it otherwise, and lied down for a minute. It was only 9, but I wanted a small rest.
