Too good to be true

"Do you actually love me?" I cried, dreading to hear the answer. "Yes," he mumbled, walking out the door. Was this the last time? Maya and Dan weren't the most predictable couple around. She was a pretty, preppy girl, and him... Well, he was very different. Was this destined to fail?

2. Chapter 2

We'd moved to this street about a year ago, and the neighbours have never really liked us. Well, me. I'm 15, so the adults think I'm gonna join a gang or something. Ridiculous thought really, a preppy girl who wears long skirts and talks to herself all day. That's me.

I never really had many friends. A few in primary school, but everyone loves each other there, right? Everyone says they hate people, and talking to strangers, but they're just trying to be cool. Me, I honestly can't be around a lot of others for long, and if I'm forced out, I'm on my phone all day.

I'm not allowed to be on my phone for long, after all "to you kids, losing a phone is like losing an arm." My mum repeated daily. "I don't want you to turn into one of those people that constantly text in class, and are always on their Mobile," which I'm not, only when she makes me go out.
