I walked to the bar, It wasn't far, and met Cara. She walked up and hugged me. Cara had long, flowing, blonde hair with a pink bow, and was wearing a tight-ish red dress.
"Hi," I greeted her, standing there in jeans and my favourite blue top. "Do you want to, erm, go in?"
"Yeah, lets go," She grabbed my arm and we walked in together. She ordered us drinks while I sat at the bar, watching everyone dance.
"Here you are Phil, " Cara walked over, holding two large glasses.
"Thanks, " I took the glass and gestured for her to sit next to me.
A few more drinks, that she bought, later, I was a little bit drunk. Just a little. But she was very drunk, and kept trying to kiss me. This was an awful idea. I checked my phone was in my pocket, and headed for the door.
"I've got to go sorry Cara, nice seeing you." I walked back home, and up to my room. I needed to sleep.
In the morning, Dan walked into my room again.
"So, how was your date last night?" He giggled.
" It wasn't a date! And It was awful." I shouted, covering my face with the pillow. "How's things with Maya?"
" Bad, I haven't spoken to her today. "
"Well go speak to her, and ask her out or something."
"I'm not gonna ask her out, I'm going to get to know her."
"Well go then." I kicked him from under the covers, and he left.
I left Phil's room and went into the next. Maya was sitting on the bed playing on her phone. He was right, it was white.
"Hi," I said softly as I walked in.
"Can I come in.. or?"
"Sure, " She laughed slightly. I sat next her on the bed and we started talking. I completely lost track of time, and only realised when it was 3 o'clock.
"Wow, It's three all ready, when do you need to go?" I asked, remembering that Maya was only staying for one night.
"Oh, I'm not sure, I'll have to ring my Grandma." So she picked her phone back up, and dialed her number.
"She's not answering, that's weird." She rung again several times, but no one answered. "Something's wrong. I'll try Patty, she's her friend." Maya sounded really worried, well I would if my gran never replied.
"Hi, Pat? Yeah Hiya. Have you seen my grandma recently? What news? No. What? No, no one told me. Okay thanks." She hung up, and tears started to fall down her face.
