Brute Gunray had been nervous ever since they had planned the meeting with Hell Burnbottom. It was NoHead tradition that if the parents died, the eldest brother would assume control. And at age 19, Burnbottom was the eldest. A legal adult. But now he was here, and Brute Gunray and Mean King faced him. Now he was ready to speak.
Mean King began to stammer and object. "We dare not mess with those babies," he finished nervously.
"Mean King, I will not have those murderers around here a day longer," came the menacing voice that was his respective brother. "This turn of events is unfortunate. Do you understand?"
"Yes," said Brute Gunray, and stared coldly at Mean King until he left. "And the S.M.S.B.? Have you forgotten what they're capable of?"
"I know what they are capable of," Burnbottom scowled. "Kill them immediately."
"As you wish," said Mean King.
"Never mind. I'll launch them," Burnbottom replied before turning to the control pad behind them. He pushed a button, and 20 rocket soldiers took flight to the MBH.
Although Baby Intelligence had been monitoring the training of Lindsay and Baby Strength, he sensed the arrival of the Rockets, sprang to his feet, and drew his sword. He noticed with approval that Lindsay had also sensed the threat and stood on guard, and that Baby Strength had left to warn Force Baby. Together, the looked around, weapons at the ready.
Outside was a crowd of Rocket soldiers. They cocked their guns at the door leading into the training grounds.
The Rocket Commander was carrying an iPad. On it, Burnbottom's face appeared. "Go in," he said. "Go in and destroy them."
Just then, the doors swung open and two swords swung forward. They cut through the Rockets without hesitation. The Rockets collapsed, cut in half.
"What is going on?" asked Brute Gunray. He and Hell Burnbottom had snuck to the MBH and were hiding upstairs.
"Have you ever been here before?" asked Burnbottom with a faint smile.
"Well, no, but--but--" Gunray paused in thought.
"But what?" Burnbottom pressed.
"These Rockets are to easy for them," Brute Gunray finished.
"You're right," said Burnbottom. He called into a comlink, contacting Mean King at the base. "I want Bratpros here right away!"
"Yes, sir," said Mean King from inside the base.
"They will be no match for Bratpro Rockets," said Brute Gunray confidently.
Meanwhile, Baby Intelligence and Lindsay made their way across the hallway, cutting down any Rockets they encountered. Baby Intelligence smiled. The door was right ahead. As he parried a bullet, he noticed a group of Rockets fly against a wall and collapse in a tangle. He nodded approvingly at Lindsay. His pupil was making god use of her powers. And speaking of my pupils, where is Baby Strength?
He reached the door and saw two of NoHead's sons on the other side. You! He was about to rush in and engage them when Lindsay called to him. "Master, Bratpro Rockets are coming!"
As Lindsay spoke, Baby Intelligence could sense genuine fear in her voice. And then the Bratpros unfurled into full-scale killer machines and projected their force fields and twin blaster cannons. The two babies used their swords to deflect the blasts back at the enemy, but the force fields protected the Bratpros from damage.
Suddenly, a sword appeared from behind and slashed repeatedly at the force fields. They began to falter...and then disappeared. Baby Strength appeared from behind the deceased shields and cut down the Bratpros.
"Baby Strength!" said Baby Intelligence, and rushed over. His sword deactivated, he gratefully hugged his pupil.
Through cameras they had seized, Hell Burnbottom and Brute Gunray monitored the fight.
"This is impossible!" said Brute Gunray. "Let's go."
Meanwhile, Baby Intelligence and Lindsay escaped through a secret passageway into a remote area of the MBH. Inside, Baby Intelligence had news for Lindsay. "Lindsay, when I die, the leadership of this group, the MBH--will all be yours."
Lindsay stared at him, shocked. I didn't know he trusted me that much. But what if I die first?
Back in the NoHead base, Hell Burnbottom and Brute Gunray found Mean King.
"Sit down, Gunray," said Burnbottom. Brute Gunnray did. Hell Burnbottom folded his arms as he continued. "We didn't stop them, but I have a better idea."
"What is your plan?" asked Gunray.
"I will go after them," Burnbottom replied. "Alone." When Mean King opened his mouth to protest, Burnbottom quickly added, "I don't need your help this time. I will go to the MBH tonight. They defeated my Rockets, but they will never defeat me!"
"It is done, then," said Brute Gunray. "They will be no match for you."
