7. A Keeper

The babies left the NoHead base through an automatic door. Inside was a small, narrow room with a trap door in its center. They climbed inside and were shocked to suddenly fall down a slide. At the end Lindsay thought they would crash into the wall, but then all 4 of them materialized through the wall.

Now outside in the night, they quickly found their Pinewood Derby. They climbed into their seats, and on the way home Baby Intelligence had an announcement.

"We have...a keeper!" he said.

Baby Strength and Force Baby cheered. "Well done, Lindsay," Force Baby whispered.

One week later, a victory parade was held. Police blew trumpets as they marched through a band. Fireworks littered the air as Lindsay and Baby Intelligence rode on elephants across a line of cheering fans. Baby Intelligence was holding a present in one hand.

Unbeknowest to them, their trouble with the NoHeads was far from over. Hell Burnbottom, NoHead's son, was still alive, as were his two younger brothers. Burnbottom had vowed revenge.

At the front, Lindsay and Baby Intelligence jumped off their elephants. Baby Strength and Force Baby were waiting there.

Baby Intelligence took up the microphone and spoke to the audience: "The real secret to our sucess is teamwork, and there's one X-Baby who we haven't acknowledged yet. And now, as I stand before you all, I have a present for our newest member: Lindsay Kellerman. Without her, NoHead would have killed me. She saved me so I could destroy him." He handed Lindsay the wrapped box. "Well, go on. Open it."

Lindsay tore open the wrapping paper. Inside the box was a medal and a folded supersuit resembling Wonderwoman's. Lindsay squealed as she held it in the air.

"I couldn't have done it without you, Lindsay," said Baby Intelligence gratefully. "I'm proud to have you in our group."

The crowd cheered and applauded. Baby Strength cheered, and Force Baby winked at her.
