I smiled when I heard the wind-chimes in the morning because I remembered- It's the third of July and it's my Birthday.
I took sometime to lay there and just relax in my own bed, without anything or anyone bothering- Brrrring Brrrrring
It was Sam. "Happy Birthday Christina! You seventeen year old!" Sam spoke before I could even say hello.
"Heh.. That's me." There was a brief silence between the call while I let out a huge yawn. "Sooo... are you excited for tonight?"
"Yeah, definitely. So it's at 8pm at yours?"
"Yup." I said, laying on my back looking up at my ceiling. "I never get to have parties, I just.. Hope it all runs smoothly."
"It will! It's your birthday just have fun, and plus you'll be seventeen." Sam reassured me. I smiled to myself and laughed, slightly.
"Okay, well, I'm gonna go and pack for Arianna's, I've only got one day."
"Arianna is your sister isn't she?"
"Yeah! You've met her before and you still don't know her name!"
"Whatever.." A silence came over us for a second and I finally said bye.
"Ok, love you, bye."
I finally dragged myself up and found the strength to get in the shower, my Dad was still in bed so I had plenty of time to eat my breakfast and even watch a bit of spongebob, because, why not? It was just me and my Dad living in this house, no Mum or siblings. My Mum had had an affair and I was the only child left. It's boring but at least I have time to be in my own space.
Tonight is my birthday party, like a real party. My dad is sleeping at his girlfriends until tomorrow afternoon so he can come home and say goodbye to me before Ari picks me up at 3pm. The longest I've ever stayed there was a weekend, and now it's a whole month and a bit! She lives so far away because for one, her boyfriend lives there, and two she was offered a job to be designer which was always her dream. Now she's living the perfect life with quite a lot of money. I'd live with her permanently if it was my choice, but my friends live here in Dovery and so does my boyfriend. And plus, I start collage next year at an acting and theatre academy. My dream is to be an actress, so this college next year matters a lot.
I cram all my stuff in to the suitcase and I'm done.
