Don't forget Where You Belong

Raegan Moynihan is no fashion model. She isn't famous or incredibly talented. She's just an ordinary college girl, new to Dublin.

Niall Horan is a world famous superstar. He's talented, can sing, play the guitar, and make girls swoon just by looking at them.

They find love in each other when they least expect it, then lose it all in a moment.

It's incredible how it only takes a second to almost lose the person you love more than anything, but, in the end, there's always a way to get through the misery and find the shining light of hope.

This story is a Niall Horan fan fiction about getting through it all to be with the person who means everything. Fame, stalkers, and oceans can't come between two people who are destined to be together.

16. Chapter 16 - Macaroni dinner

"Raegan lets go! We're gonna miss the flight!" Niall yelled from the living room.

"I'm hurrying!" I yelled back at him from my bathroom. I was straitening my hair, just in case someone would notice us. If today was going to be the day I would be photographed, I wanted to look good. I finally finished, turned my flat iron off, turned off the bathroom and bedroom lights, and grabbed my backpack, which had my laptop, ipod, and books in it. I ran out to the living room and there was Niall standing by the door with his green backpack, his sunglasses in his hand. Our suitcases were waiting by the door and he looked up from his phone to give me a sassy look. "What? I'm sorry I took so long. I would have had more time if someone hadn't distracted me this morning...." I said with a smile, rolling my eyes. As I went to get in the shower this morning, Niall had stood by the bathroom door and started kissing me, which of course turned into a full on make-out session. And then, he wouldn't let me through the doorway until I told him what the stupid password was, which was "Niall is the sexiest human being alive." He can be such a goober sometimes.

"I told you! I can't help it!" He took a step towards me and grabbed my face with both hands. "It's not my fault that my girl is the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on." I loved it when he called me "his girl." He leaned in to kiss me. It was a longer kiss, but slow and sweet. When he pulled away he had his adorable smile on his face. "Now lets go, we're going to miss our flight if we don't hurry the hell up." He pecked my lips again, then grabbed my suitcase along with his, and opened the door for me. I made sure it was locked and we left, the butterflies in my stomach fluttering like there was no tomorrow.

We were sitting at the gate, getting ready to board the plane. No one recognized us in the airport which was a relief. Like Niall said, no one really knew that he was coming to America with me, so he wasn't expected to be here by the paps. He had fallen asleep waiting with his head resting on my shoulder, snoring a little bit. It was 7:30 in the morning, and we were both pretty tired. Being idiots last night, we stayed up way too late to watch movies, cuddling and kissing the whole time, only getting out of bed to pee or brush our teeth. Suddenly the woman on the overhead announced that it was time for us to board the plane.

"Niall, it's time to wake up." I whispered, running my hands through his hair. "It's our turn to get on the plane." He looked up me, his blue eyes shining as usual despite how sleepy he was.

"Can't I just sleep here forever?" He groaned. He was cute when he was sleepy.

"No, you can't. Now come on sleepyhead. We've got a plane to get on. You can sleep then."

"Okay love." He stood up stretched, and pulled his passport and boarding pass out of the front pouch of his backpack. He rubbed his eyes and looked over at me as I stood up, smiling.

"What are you smiling at?" I asked him as I pulled my passport out of my backpack.

"You." I started to blush. He often just looked at me like that, and while it often made me question my outfit choice or get nervous about how I looked, I liked it. It always gave me the chills in a good way. He grabbed my hand and we lined up at the boarding doors. Not many people were ahead of us, and we were on the plane in no time.

"Are you excited to go home?" He asked as we got settled in our seats.

"Yeah I am, I can't wait to see everyone. But it doesn't really feel like I'm going home."

"What do you mean?"

"Ireland is home now. I love it here, it feels more like home to me then America ever did. I mean, don't get me wrong, America is nice, and I love my old town, but Ireland is way better. So this feels more like I'm going on a vacation, rather than returning home." I explained, hoping that it would make sense to him. He just smiled at me, staring into my eyes for a second before he said something.

"This might not make sense..." He started. "...but how much you love my home, the place that I love so much, makes me even more crazy for you." I smiled at him, his words actually made sense to me.

"It does?" I asked him.

"Yeah it does. I really like the fact that you really like my country."

"Well it's not exactly your country you know." I said jokingly to him.

"Oh shut your gob." He said, giving me a goofy grin. He leaned in and kissed me hard on the mouth. Once again, my heart was racing and my stomach was doing somersaults. I loved kissing him, and this was a good kiss, like all the others we had shared so far. He pulled away after a minute, once more people started getting on the plane. Niall wasn't really big into PDA, and neither was I. I hated it when other couples would be all over each other in public, so I never was one to be all over a guy when we were out. Keeping my hands off Niall was always difficult, but we kept it classy.

He usually only kissed me when we were in secluded areas, like the back table in the Porterhouse, or alone in the gift shop, and when in public, that was enough for me.

The plane slowly filled up, and after a while, the flight attendants did their safety presentation as we waited to depart. Finally, we were first for departure. The plane started to taxi off, and sooner than later we were in the air. I looked out the window as we took off, saying a silent goodbye to Dublin. Niall gave my hand a squeeze, and I leaned my head on his shoulder closing my eyes. I could go for some shut eye, and since this would be about a six hour flight, I had plenty of time to rest.

"Go to sleep love, we will be there before you know it." He whispered into my ear. He started rubbing circles onto my hand his thumb, and was humming "Little Things" to himself. The song had become sort of a lullaby for me, and his humming made me sleepy. I closed my eyes, with happy thoughts lingering about what was to come.

"Raegan love. Time to wake up. We're going to be there soon." I slowly opened my eyes to find that thankfully, the cabin lights were off. I hate waking up to find bright lights shining in my eyes. I lifted my head off Niall's shoulders and rubbed my eyes. "Did you sleep well?" He asked me.

"Yeah, you're pretty comfy." I said with a little giggle.

"I'm glad. You're a very cute sleeper you know."

"I am?"

"Yeah, you smile a lot in your sleep."

"I was probably dreaming about you."

"Of course you were. How could you not dream about this sexiness?" He said cheekily. I rolled my eyes at him.

"How much longer until we get there? I'm starving."

"I think about forty five minutes. I'm sure one of the ladies can you bring you a snack or something."

"Eh, that's okay. I'd rather wait until we land. I'm not exactly craving airplane cookies at the moment." He chuckled a little bit at what I said. "What did you do while I was sleeping?"

"I watched movies and ate your food for you." Typical Niall.

"Why am I not surprised?"

"Because I'm me, and I love food."

"That you do." I leaned my head back on his shoulder. We just talked about random stuff the rest of the way until the plane was about to land. "I love landing." I told him. I actually love everything about flying. The fact that a machine can stay in the air carrying so many passengers always amazes me.

"Me too." He said, giving my hand a squeeze. I loved it when it did that. It was kind of like his little way of emphasizing that he was here with me.

"Did anyone on the plane notice you? I was surprised we didn't get noticed in the airport." I asked him.

"One girl in the back did as she was walking around."

"Really? What'd she say?"

"She asked for a picture, but I told her I couldn't because I didn't want to move and wake you up." I felt kind of bad for the fan not being able to get a picture. "I autographed her bag though."

"I hope she doesn't send out a description of me all over twitter."

"I don't think she will. I asked her not to actually. She said she wouldn't. We'll see if she actually does or not." My instincts told me that whoever this girl was, she wasn't going to start telling everyone that Niall was on a plane to Boston, or tell the world what I looked like. In fact, she was probably giggling to herself that she knew a little secret of Niall's that no one else really knew.

The plane finally hit the tar and the engines roared. I looked out the window at the familiar airport. I had been to Boston-Logan plenty of times for family vacations, so I knew how to get around the airport. I would get us out of here in no time, and hopefully no one would notice us.

The flight attendant started making the usual landing announcements.

"Hello ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to Boston-Logan International Airport. You may now turn your electronic devices back on, but please remain seated until the aircraft comes to a complete stop at the gate. The local time is 10:30AM, and it is 27 degrees Fahrenheit outside, with a light flurry of snow. Thank you for flying with Delta Airlines, and we hope to see you again sometime soon."

Within a few minutes the plane got to the gate and the seatbelt sign went off. Niall and I stood up, both of us stretching. Sitting in the same seat for six hours could really make a person ache. Niall pulled his backpack out from under the seat, and I did the same. It wasn't long before we walking down the tunnel towards the doors into the gate, hand in hand. I had noticed that even though Niall wasn't into PDA, he ALWAYS held my hand, and sometimes I think it was another way of him being protective of me. You can't lose someone if you're holding their hand. Even though we were inside the airport, and it wasn't even sunny weather outside, Niall put his sunglasses back on, and I did too. It may look silly, but it also made him a little less recognizable. We made our way to baggage claim, grabbed our suitcases and headed for the main doors of Terminal A, where my brother was supposed to be waiting for us. As soon the doors opened I saw him. His red hair made him stand out in a crowd. Without even thinking I ran over to him at a full sprint, Niall chuckling as I took off.

"Cooooonnnnooooorrrrrr!" I slammed into him at full speed and he nearly fell over. He gave me a bone crushing hug and swung me around. When he finally let me go, he put both hands on my shoulders and looked me up and down.

"Have you gotten taller?" I laughed at his question.

"Definitely not Connor. I just think you forgot how short I am."

"Eh, you're probably right. So where's this dude you were supposed to be bringing with you?" I turned around as Niall walked up to us.

"Connor," I said, going to introduce him to Niall. "This is Niall. Niall, this is my brother Connor." They shook hands.

"Nice to meet you man." said Connor.

"Same to you mate." Niall said back to him smiling.

"Woah, nice accent. No wonder my sister picked you. She's a sucker for a guy with accents, aren't yah sis?" I rolled my eyes, blushing a bit as he elbowed me in the ribs.

"Oh shut up Connor." I said hitting him on the arm. "Lets get outta here." Connor grabbed a suitcase from Niall, and the two of us followed him to the car. He threw our bags in the trunk and we all climbed in.

"You know..." Connor said looking in the rearview mirror as we were driving out of the airport terminal. "You look a lot like that guy from that band my sister likes. Leave it to her to find a look-a-like." I turned around to look at Niall in the back seat, and we both started cracking up. "What's so funny?" Connor asked looking confused.

"That's because he is the guy from the band I like. You know, One Direction?"

"What?!" Connor said slamming on the breaks and turning around to look as Niall again. I could not stop laughing at this point, I was cracking up at Connor's reaction. Cars behind him were honking their horns but Connor wasn't going anywhere. Niall had this goofy smile on his face while Connor continued to stare at him.

"Holy shit! You're like, famous!!"

"Yeah, Reagan didn't tell you guys?" He said chuckling a little bit.

Connor turned back around and starting driving again. He looked over at me. "No she didn't. Mum just said that she was being a little weird on the phone. How the hell did you snag him Rae? He seems like a chill guy, and you're annoying as all hell."

I rolled my eyes. "Oh thanks. But I'd like to remind you that I'm not the single one here."

"Yeah, well that's by choice. The ladies bow down at my feet." He said all smug.

"Whatever you say Connor."

"You do realize the rest of the family is going to shit themselves when they realize your boyfriend is like, world famous?"

Niall started chuckling in the back. "I may be famous, but I'm still a normal guy. I swear on it." He said in his adorable accent.

"I hope so. Briley and I don't let my sister date pompous assholes."

"Connor!" I yelled. "Don't be an ass."

Niall started laughing again. "Raegan its fine. He's not being an ass. He's being a good older brother."

"Ha! See!" Connor said sticking his tongue out at me. "I like him already." I rolled my eyes at him. I was nervous about how much the rest of my family would embarrass me when they met Niall.

The car ride was about an hour and a half. The snow was causing a little bit of a traffic jam, but we eventually got home. I was extremely grateful when the Escalade pulled into the driveway. Connor had pestered Niall with tons of questions the whole way home. He basically knew Niall's life story by the time we got there, and I knew he wasn't even finished asking.

I jumped out of the car and went to grab my suitcase. Connor was already on his way inside.

"Sorry bout him." I told Niall when he grabbed my bags out of the back for me.

"Don't worry love. He was just being protective of you. Besides, he seems like a nice guy. He reminds me of Greg." I sighed out of relief.

"I'm glad you think so, I was worried he was going to scare you away."

"Nothing could scare me away from you." He leaned in and gave me a quick kiss when I heard Connor yell out the screen door for me to hurry up. Niall and I headed up the driveway. He held the door open for me and placed our bags by the door. Connor was waiting by the bottom of the stairs for us.

"YO! FAMILY. GET OUT HERE. THEY'RE HOME." Suddenly I could hear someone running down the staircase. My brother Briley jumped from the last step and engulfed me into a bone crushing hug, just like Conners.

"Briley!" I said, barely able to speak or breathe. "You're crushing me!" He released me so I could breathe again. "What are you doing here?" Briley has his own apartment in Hampton, the next town over.

"Mum needed help with her new computer, and I had the day off. I'm staying for dinner." He squeezed my cheeks annoyingly. "So..." He said looking Niall up and down. ."..This must be the new guy eh sis?" He said wiggling his eyebrows at me. He put his hand out, and him and Niall shook hands.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Briley."

"Same to you mate. I'm Niall."

"Holy shit, nice accent. I knew Rae would end up bringing an Irish guy home." Briley looked back at Connor who was trying not to laugh. Briley obviously hadn't recognized who Niall was. "What's so funny?" He asked.

"You don't recognize who he is do you?" Connor asked Briley. Niall and I started snickering too.

"No....should I?" Briley started looking at Niall weird.

"Go upstairs and look at the poster on the inside of Raegan's closet." Connor told him.

"What? Why?"

"Just do it!" Briley shook his head and ran back upstairs. "He's going to shit himself, you wait." I heard my bedroom door open, and footsteps going across the ceiling.

"NO FUCKING WAY!" Briley booked it back downstairs. "You're fucking famous! Like really famous! Wow, I know a famous guy now!"

Niall chuckled a bit. "I'm still just a normal guy. But yeah, you could say I'm a little famous." Right as he finished his sentence I could hear mum yelling.

"Briley? Watch your mouth! Now what are you swearing at?" Her voice was getting closer and then she came around the corner from the dining room.

"Oh Raegan! I didn't realize you were here! I was on the phone in my office with Elizabeth." Elizabeth was Edin's mom, her and my mom are best friends just like Edin and I. She gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek. "And this must be the new guy." Niall stuck out hand, but my mom just gave him a hug.

"It's so nice to meet you darling. I'm Noreen." She said, giving him a good squeeze.

Niall smiled. "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Niall."

"Oh what a lovely name." She said placing both her hands on his shoulders. "And you have a lovely face too dear."

"Thank you." Niall said, blushing a bit. The boys and I started snickering again, and we were doing a crappy job of holding back our giggling while we waited for her to realize whose shoulders her hands were on.

"Wait a minute....." My mom said, her hands still on Niall's shoulders. She cocked her head and squinted at him. "Raegan, he looks a like that guy from....... what is it called again?

"One Direction." I answered in between my giggles.

"Yeah, that. In fact he looks just like him.....Isn't there an Irish boy in the band?" You could see the realization hitting her. Her reaction was by far the best. "Oh my are him aren't you?" She asked. Her eyes were alarmingly huge and her mouth just dropped open. She looked back at me, then at Niall, back at me again, then back at him.

Niall smiled. "Yes I am."

"And you and my baby girl are dating?" She said, still obviously in shock.

"Yes mom, little Raegan is dating a celebrity. Now stop creeping him out." Connor told her. She was frozen in place, and her mouth was still hanging open, so Connor pulled her away from Niall, giving him an apologetic look. Briley and I were still laughing our butts off. I guess you could say that this family was easily amused when we were around each other.

Mum finally snapped out of her shocked state. "I'm sorry dear. I just... I just can't believe this. Anyways, welcome to the family. Would you guys like some lunch?"

"Yes please." We all said in unison. She smiled at us all.

"I'll make some sandwiches. Briley, Connor, bring Raegan and Niall's bags to her room would you?" With that she left, shaking her head and mumbling to herself as she walked into the kitchen to make us lunch.

Niall, Briley and Connor brought all our stuff up to my room, and I followed them as they climbed up the stairs.

"Well, I guess we could give them a few minutes alone, don't you think Connor?" Briley said looking at Connor as they arrived at my room.

"I don't see why not. We'll have our turn with him later anyways. Try not to let Raegan rub any of her annoyingness on you man." Connor said to Niall. The boys just gave us a wave and I walked over to my door to shut it. Well that was quite an ordeal. I walked back over to Niall, who was just looking at me again, with that perfect smile of his. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he wrapped his around my waist. I started to kiss him, soft and slow for a few moments. When I pulled away, his eyes were still shining as bright as usual.

"I'm sorry about all their ridiculousness. But you can't blame them. I didn't tell them you were famous because I knew they wouldn't believe me."

"Don't worry love. I didn't mind one bit. I like them. You mom seems really nice. Same with Briley and Connor." He kissed me, soft and sweet ."In fact," he said, "I look forward to meeting the rest of your family very much."

"I'm glad. They can be a handful sometimes." I said, my arms still wrapped around his neck. He kissed me again. "It means a lot to me that you're here."

"Every family is a handful. Wait until you meet mine." He said with a smile. My heart jumped at the thought. I hoped Niall's family would like me. We started kissing again, and didn't stop, ending up on the bed of course, until my mum yelled up the stairs.

"Kids! Lunch is ready!" I pulled away from Niall, and couldn't help but smile. A part of me still could not believe he was here, in America, meeting my family. I grabbed Niall's hand and we walked downstairs to the kitchen together. Briley and Connor were are already at the table stuffing their faces. Niall and I sat down at the table and mom brought us some grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with some hot chocolate.

"Mum, where are Kellan and Rian?" I asked her, eager to see them.

"They're skiing at Loon." Loon is a big mountain in northern New Hampshire. "They should be home around three." She said as she pulled up a chair next to Connor.

"What about Dad?"

"He's at the office. He has a big case coming up, and he needs to prepare for it. He'll be home in time for dinner though. Don't worry, he already made sure the news won't be knocking on our door." I took a bite into my sandwich savoring the tastes of my moms cooking. It may just be a sandwich, but for some reason food always tastes better when she makes it.

"So...." started Briley, waving half a sandwich in the air as he talked. "Raegan... I hope you don't mind, but we're taking Niall with us after lunch."

"Uh, for what?" I asked him.

"Guy stuff. You know how it is."

"No I don't 'know how it is' and did you even ask him?" I said looking at Niall. He chuckled a bit.

"I'll go with you guys. It'll be fun." Niall said to the boys. Connor stuck his tongue out at me.

"See, guys like to do guy stuff together." Briley said to me.

"Figures. I don't mind anyways. I want to be here when Kellan and Rian get home." I told them. We continued eating our lunches and making small talk. I knew the boys would continue to question Niall when they went to where ever they were going, and mom would start questioning me once they left....

A few hours later, mom and I started working on dinner for tonight. I loved to cook, especially with my mom, and I had forgotten how much I missed spending the quality time with her. We were going to make my favorite dish in honor of me coming home, Mac 'n' Cheese. My mom makes the best homemade kind, and to be honest, I couldn't wait to stuff my face with it later. I was crumbling some Ritz graham crackers while my mom poured the noodles in the pot so they could cook.

"So honey, are you going to tell me more about Niall?"

"Yeah, what do you want to know?" I asked her.

"How did you guys meet? He doesn't live in Dublin does he?"

"You know that signing you and daddy bought me tickets to?"

"Mhmm, is that where you met him?"

"Yep. I know this might sound stupid, but when it was my turn to walk up to him, we immediately had this weird connection, and we stared at each other for a while before his manager snapped him out of it." I told her, giggling a bit at the memory. It was a day I would never forget, that's for sure.

"That doesn't sound weird honey. That's how I felt when I met your father for the first time, and look at us now." She had a point. Ever since I was a kid, it was apparent to me that my parents were madly in love with each other, even now. For my entire childhood, I looked forward to finding a love like theirs, and I knew they would be together until the end. "So did he ask you out?"

"Uh no." I said laughing to myself. "He signed my CD, while staring at me the whole time, then I was ushered out because the queue was getting held up."

"Well then how did you see him again?" She asked, confused.

"I don't know, luck I guess. Some friends and I went out that night to get my first legal pint, and he and the rest of the band happened come to the same bar we did. The second time, he actually talked to me and got my number."

"Cute. Did he take you out on a date at all? He's a gentleman right?" My mom has always been real big on making sure my boyfriend is a gentleman, so I expected her to ask.

"Yeah the next night we went out. We went to this awesome restaurant then did this Ghost Tour around the city. It was the best first date I've ever had."

"Did you guys kiss?"

"Whaaaaat? Did you?"

I started laughing. Leave it to my mom to really get the details. "Yes. We kissed."

"Ha! I knew it. So then what happened?"

"He left. He had to go around the UK and promote the new album. He even had to go to LA for a week or so. We didn't see each other for a few months, until a few days ago when he surprised me at my place."

"When did he ask you to be his girlfriend then?"

"Oh wow, I thought he asked you sooner!"

"Nope. I told you it was recent." I said laughing. She continued to ask me questions until Rian and Kellan burst through the door. As soon as I heard them come in I ran into the hallway and squeezed them tight. I may not be as close to them as I am to Briley and Connor, but that doesn't mean I love them any less. After I hugged them and they dropped all their crap off in their rooms, then came back downstairs to pester me about Niall. Instead of surprising them like I did Mom, Connor, and Briley, I told them exactly who Niall was, and about how he was famous. None of my brothers are into One Direction, but they're not completely clueless. They didn't believe what I told them until mom vouched for me. After they got over the initial shock, they ran back upstairs to go play on the Xbox, and it wasn't long before dinner was ready.

Just as I was setting the last plate down on the dining room table I heard the boys come through the door, followed by my Dad.

"Dad!" I yelled, running to the front door slamming into him like I did Connor at the airport.

"Hi honey." He said squeezing me tight. "I've missed you."

"I've missed you too." I said pulling part from him. "Dinner's just about ready. Have you met Niall yet?"

"Yes, the Connor and Briley just introduced him to me in the driveway. You picked a good one. He seems very humble and polite for being who he is." I smiled. The boys must have explained Niall's celebrity status to him already, thank God. "Well I'm going to put my stuff in my office and then I'll be down for dinner. I'll send the boys down."

I returned to the dining room and was texting Edin at my seat when Briley walked in first. He pulled out his usual chair and sat down next to me.

"He passed." He said quietly. I looked up at him from my phone. He had a smirk.

"What?" I asked him.

"Niall. He passed the test. I like him. So does Connor. In fact, he's the best so far. So don't scare him away okay?" I rolled my eyes at him, but I was secretly relieved. Knowing the boys approved was everything to me. "He's really great actually. If you hadn't told me he was famous, I never would had thought it. He seems like a normal guy."

"He is normal guy." I told him. "But he's talented, and works his butt off too."

"Well I like him. So don't mess up." Briley said. The rest of the family starting piling into the dining room one by one. Niall came in laughing about something with Connor and sat next to me, Connor sat on the other side of him.

"Hello love." He said, pulling out his chair and sitting down.

"Hi" I said smiling. "How was your afternoon with the boys?"

"It was fun. We went fishing."

"Yeah we went ice fishing and talked about guy stuff."

I smiled and gave his hand a squeeze. "Well I'm glad you had fun." I leaned in closer to him. "And they approve of you by the way." I whispered into his ear, kissing his cheek. He gave a sigh of relief and squeezed my hand back, a silent gesture that I understood completely.

Once my Dad came down from his office, my mom brought in all the food, and it looked delicious. We all started piling the macaroni on our plates while she brought in the drinks.

"So, Niall, it's a pleasure to have you here." My dad started saying once everyone was settled. "I was surprised when Noreen told me you were coming."

"To be honest, I was a little surprised myself. It was very last minute." He said in his perfect Irish accent. "Thank you for having me." As Niall spoke, I could see my Dad analyzing him further, and I knew he would give me his whole opinion on Niall later, which I looked forward to. I had a feeling he was going to like Niall, and my Dads approval was even more important to me than anyone else's.

"Anytime. You're welcome to stay as long as you want to, but I'm sure you've got a family of your own to get back to?"

"Yeah, my family is expecting me to be back in a week or so. I'll be staying at my mums house for Christmas this year."

"I take it your parents are no longer together?"

"No, they split up when I was just a sprog. I don't mind though."

"What's a sprog?" Interrupted Kellan.

"It means kid." I told him, chuckling a bit. I sometimes forget that Americans don't know half the Irish lingo that I've learned in the last few months. My dad stopped asking questions and went back to eating his mac 'n' cheese.

Dinner continued on throughout dessert without anyone else pestering Niall. Occasionally Kellan would ask Niall what different words meant, but overall no one really grilled him with anymore questions. Briley told me all about his new girlfriend Erica. He met her at work and he really likes her. I was surprised when he said I could meet her some time in the next week. Briley had never been this serious about a girl before, and it was weird to think about him starting to settle down. Connor talked about how excited he is for his last semester of college coming up, and how he was already accepted into the law school he wanted. It was good to hear about everyone's lives and how they've been.

All in all, it was a good family meal, something I had craved in the last few weeks. After we finished, we all helped clean up the dining room and kitchen. Kellan and Rian went upstairs to go to bed along with my parents, while Connor and Briley threw themselves onto the couch to watch a movie.

Niall and I were still in the kitchen. I was sitting on top of the island counter and he was facing me, twirling my long dark red hair in between his fingers. "Would you like to go upstairs?" I asked him. "I'm kind of tired from the plane ride. I think I'm ready for bed."

He kissed me gently on the lips. "I'd love to. I'm beat."

I hopped off the counter and grabbed his hand leading him upstairs. Tomorrow I would have to give him an official tour or something. I opened the door to my bedroom and shut it behind him as he walked in.

"To be honest, I don't have any more energy to do anything. Not even change my clothes." I told him rubbing my eyes.

"Me too babe." He said, yawning at the end of his sentence. He started pulling off his clothes and before I knew it he was just in his boxers. I couldn't help but admire him as I slowly started undressing myself. He watched me too as I took off my shirt and bottoms, leaving just my bra and undies on. It was the first time he had seen me this exposed, but I was too tired to put pajamas on. His mouth dropped open for a second, but then he closed it shut. He wrapped his arms around me and started kissing my neck. After a few kisses he pulled away. "If I wasn't so tired, resisting you would be ten times harder right now. You're sexy you know."

"I know just what you mean. For a leprechaun, you're pretty sexy yourself." I said kissing him on the lips. It was a longer but gentler kiss, just because we were both so tired. After I pulled away with a sleepy smile, we crawled under the covers and I curled up into his arms. He was the perfect pillow. It didn't take much time for the two of us to fall fast asleep, wrapped up in each other.
