Demons And Angels

Jayde Rogers was an angelic child. She never did anything bad and was always doing what she was told. She was bullied because of an eating disorder she had due to a tragic childhood memory. Her father was always doing charity work and was never around. She had no friends and was moving around a LOT. One day, what happens when her path crosses with another person's who isn't exactly heaven's angel?

7. Chapter-7

Jayde's POV
I stared up at the lord of the sky's in shock. Angels? That does explain a lot of my personality. "Okay. Thanks." I said awkwardly before attempting to walk away. "Wait! Wouldn't you like to meet her? I can call her up here if you want." Zeus called after me making me stop in my tracks and turn to face him. "Why? Aren't demigods and their parents supposed to have limited amounts of interactions with their godly parents?" I asked with a  hint of rudeness in my voice. He looked a bit taken back but covered it up with a smile. "I'm in a good mood today so I think I'll bend the rules once for my granddaughter." He replied rather quickly. I narrowed my eyes at him and Hera as they both smiled nervously. "No thanks. I'll have to decline. It would't be fair to all the demigods who don't have this chance to meet their parents." I said before leaving, Travis and Nico following me. "I didn't even know there was a goddess of angels." Travis said as we made our way to the car. Nico crawled in, then I crawled back onto his lap, both of us blushing once again. "Neither did I." I mumbled as I curled up against Nico, if possible making his cheeks grow brighter. I giggled at him being adorable and snuggled closer. He was slightly tensed up but other wise completely relaxed as he pulled an arm around me, pulling me even closer if that were possible to him. I then drifted to sleep. "Jayde. The car ride was like twenty minutes, how were you so sleepy?" Travis asked as we made our way to the big house. "I think it might have to do with something that happened earlier." I then explained what happened with Clarisse and the bright light. "She looked like she was blinded so I was thinking that might be why Zeus was acting scared. I might have the power to blind people, immortals included. But since Clarisse can still see I'm assuming, I might  be able to also not completely blind people and only make them disorientated." I explained as we reached Chiron. "What was that about blinding people?" He asked when we approached curiously. "My mom, the goddess of angels, apparently gave me some cool powers." I told him. I explained the whole issue with Zeus and Clarisse and her buddies. "I was wondering what happened to Clarisse. She's in the infirmary with Dr.Solace." Chrion informed me. I smirked, slightly happy I caused her to have to go to the infirmary. "Okay... So now that we knoe who my godly parent is, do I move to another cabin or something?" I asked, hoping to get out of the cramped Hermes cabin. "Well since we are just now being informed of this goddess of angels, we'll have to get somebody to build you a cabin. You'll get to help design it of course but we have the Hephaestus campers and some cyclopes that will build it." Chiron explained to me. I nodded, slightly disappointed. Chiron told me he would have to call in a few cyclopes to help start the project and then he would explain it from there. I nodded and followed Nico and Travis out the door. Nico went off to his cabin and I continued to follow Travis to his. Once we got there, I showered and quickly changed before crawling into my sleeping bag.
I woke up about twenty minutes before every one else so I took some of that time to take a nice, hot shower. Once I got out, I quickly changed into a Camp Half-Blood tee and some black leggings with my locket and hightops. I pulled my hair back into a bun and applied a small amount of mascara. I walked out of the cabin and towards the arena. I reached the arena to find Clarisse whacking away at some dummies wearing a pair of shades. I assumed she wore the shades because her eyes were still healing from yesterday so I prayed she didn't see me and walked away as quickly and quietly as I could. She thankfully didn't notice me as I crept off, most likely because of the sunglasses. I decided I would just go to the archery range instead. Once I had gotten there, everyone else was finishing breakfast. Wow. That was quick. I grabbed a random bow and quiver and began to shoot. I had once gotten archery lessons for about 5 months because my dad did some charity work for this archery range place and they offered to give me free lessons. I hit the center about 3 times but the rest of the times I got one or two rings away from it. "I didn't know you could shoot a bow." A voice said from behind me right as I was about to let another arrow fly. The person scared me so I didn't have a chance to aim. I ended up almost hitting a passing by camper. I looked behind me to see Nico standing behind me. "Don't scare me like that." I said before turning back to the target. "You wanna do something today?" He asked as I continued to empty my quiver. "Sure. What were you thinking?" I asked as I shot my last arrow, hitting the center. "I dunno. We could go to the woods or something." He said, taking my bow and putting away as I collected all the arrows. I put them in the quiver and put it away before leaving, Nico behind me. "Have you been eating recently? I never see you eating." Nico asked as we made our way over to the woods. "Um... Yeah. Travis has a ton of food stashed in the cabin I snack on." I said quickly before he could question me even further. I didn't want him to know about my eating disorder and think of me as some sort of freak so I had to lie. He narrowed his eyes at me, but I guess he decided to let it go and continue walking. By the time we had hiked about half-way to our destination, my feet were really tired. "Nico, my feet are tired." I complained stopping in my tracks. "C'mere." He said stopping beside me. I walked a few steps to where I was beside him. "Jump on." He said as he turned around. I hopped onto his back and wrapped my legs around his waist along with my arms around his neck. I rested my head on his back and let him carry me. By the time we got there, I had almost fallen asleep. Nico placed me down on the ground gently and sat beside me. I placed my head on Nico's shoulder. "I'm tired." I complained, stifling a small, girly yawn. Nico chuckled softly. "Why are your yawns so girly and adorable sounding?" He asked, wrapping an arm around me. He pulled me into his lap and I buried my face into his chest, inhaling his scent. He smelled slightly like vanilla and... Death maybe? I curled up more and wrapped my arms around his waist. He was slightly tensed up but he wrapped his arms around me too. We sat there for a while before Nico picked me up and put me on his back again to carry me back to camp. By the time we had reached the beach again, Nico had placed me down and was forcing me to walk by myself. "I don't wanna walk." I complained as I trudged across the beach. "Well too bad." He replied smirking. I smacked his arm lightly, giggling a little bit. We had reached the cabin area and I saw a large group of REALLY big guys standing around a the starting of a wooden cabin-like structure. "Hey. I think they're starting my cabin!" I exclaimed pointing at it, stopping Nico. "Yeah. Let's go find Chiron so we can get you started on designing it." He said before dragging me off to the big house.
