Demons And Angels

Jayde Rogers was an angelic child. She never did anything bad and was always doing what she was told. She was bullied because of an eating disorder she had due to a tragic childhood memory. Her father was always doing charity work and was never around. She had no friends and was moving around a LOT. One day, what happens when her path crosses with another person's who isn't exactly heaven's angel?

2. Chapter-2

Jayde's POV(At the end of the school day)
I was walking to the bus with Nico when I fell, face first, onto the concrete. I picked my head  up and turned around to see Mac, the school bully. She had fake curls of bleach blonde hair, eyes the same color as brown sugar. She always wore TOO much makeup over her skin that was fake tanned and her clothes consisted of a crop top, butt shorts, and sandals or sometimes heels. I hauled myself up with the help of Nico. "Oh look, the school slut got herself a depressed boyfriend." Mac spat at me.  Nico looked ready to jump at her but I put my hand on his chest to hold him back. "First of all, if anyone's the slut here it's you," I spat back, "And second of all, I met Nico about 8 hours ago. So we aren't dating." I finished smirking. I took my hand away from Nico's black silky shirt and dropped it back to my side. Mac scoffed and walked off, two or three other sluts following her lead. I continued to walk towards the bus but Nico stayed in the same spot. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked, softly placing my hand on his shoulder. He slightly flinched at this physical contact but eased back quickly. "Nothing." He lied. I scoffed and rolled my eyes but decided to ignore him for now. "My dad should be picking me up today instead of me having to ride the bus." I told him. He nodded in understanding. "I gotta go. Bye!" I told him as my dad's black '64 Mustang pulled into view. He waved at me, them disappeared in the crowd of large people. I smiled at my dad and hoped into the passenger seat. It wasn't very expensive to get(the car) so he took the chance and fell in love it. "Hey dad!" I chirped. "Who was that?" He asked smirking as he raised his eyebrows. I giggled but I responded anyways. "That's Nico di Angelo. He's a new student, really sweet guy." My dad smiled and took off. Today he was doing another charity thing today with a local church so he had to drop me off at home instantly. As soon as he pulled into the driveway, I hoped out, blowed him a kiss, and walked up the driveway to the front door. I let myself in using the key in my pocket and stepped in. I dropped my bag off next to the door and wandered into my room. I flopped onto my bed and pulled my phone from my pocket and pushed play on my favorite playlist. I got out a sketchpad and pencils for me to doodle with. I started drawing a simple angel wing. I'm not sure why but they seem to appeal to me. Then I started on another wing. This one was different however. The wings looked rougher and harsher plus, darker. I added a chain to the darker side because I felt like it went along with it well. After I had finished, my stomach growled. That's right, I forgot to eat lunch. I jogged to the kitchen and grabbed a mini, bright red apple before heading back to my own room. I munched down on the juicy apple and smiled. I plopped down onto my bed and pulled out my phone once again. I opened my messages and sighed. I have two conversations going on, my father and my friend Andrew. He had shaggy blonde hair, hazel eyes, and fair skin. He was also one of the most gay people I had ever met. I absolutely loved him to death. I clicked on Andy's name and sent him a quick 'hi!' before changing the playlist I was listening to. I set it on the one I listen to while working out and got up from my bed. I dressed into yoga pants and a tank top before starting my regular work-out routine. I normally jog for 20 minutes before going to the gym to do push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, then I stretched before using the machines for about an hour before jogging home. It was pretty tiring but I did it almost every day.

~Le Time Skip~

After I had finished, I came home to my father asleep, and two texts plus three missed calls from Andy. I showered and changed into sweatpants and a loose tank top. I called Andy as I flopped onto my bed. I pressed the phone softly to my face and waited for him to pick up. It normally took about two or three rings. On the second ring, he picked up, "Why have you not been answering?" He demanded. I giggled slightly at his anger. "I was working out." I told him. "Oh boy... How much did you eat today?" He asked. He was always concerned about my health from having Anorexia. "One of my mini apples earlier." I told him. "You need to eat more or you might die!" He exclaimed. I giggled. Our conversation switched topics about five times before he had to go. I hung up and glanced over at my clock. It read 10:54 in bright green letters. I sighed but burrowed underneath my covers. I plugged up my phone and drifted into a nice sleep. "Jayde... It's time to get up..." I heard my father's soft voice call after what seemed like a minute of sleeping. I groaned but felt my eyes flutter open. I saw my father standing in my doorway so I threw my legs over my bed and stood up, shooing him out of the room. I changed into a pair of light-wash jeans, a white tee-shirt, a my favorite black varsity jacket, and a pair of white high-tops. I put on my locket and pulled my hair back into a braid and added a bit of mascara to my eyes before grabbing my phone and earbuds. I told my dad bye before grabbing my bag and walking to the bus stop. I popped in an earbud before waiting for the bus. The old bus pulled up within minutes and I hopped on, heading to the back where Nico was currently seated. I waved and smiled at him as I sat next to him. He slightly smiled back. I didn't know yet but today would be an interesting day for Nico and I.
