"Macy? Is everything alright?"
On the phone, all I could hear was subtle whimpering. The game was on and I was trying to zone it out.
"Travis...I broke up with Derik.."
"Oh Mace. I am sorry." I say truthfully. I am sorry for what she had to deal with. That guy was a prick. He had never treated her right. She deserves the world.
"It's fine. I just don't know what I keep doing that drives all of these guys away from me. I mean, am I really that terrible?" Macy is one of the most unique people I've ever met. She has the prettiest dark ocean blue eyes that gleam and her long brunette hair falls just along the small of her back and curls slightly towards the ends. Her body is fit, considering we work outevery Saturday together. She is truly beautiful inside and out.
"I am on my way over." I reply hesitant as to what she might say.
"No Trav, it's okay. I'll probably just watch 'Awkward' and try to contain myself. Thank you so much for always being here for me though."
"I am just glad you called me when you needed someone to talk too." I say hopefully.
"Always. You have been my bestfriend since the first time I met your goofy ass! Remember?"
"Yes." I say with a chuckle, trying to dismiss those thought about the crazy night at the bar.
"Alright, I'll let you go. I love you, you know that right?"
Yes, but just not the way I want you to. "Yes of course I do Mace. I love you too."
When she hangs up, I know instantly that she doesn't want to be alone. So, I record the game even though I waited for this game all week and grab a bag to take. In the bag I put, her favorite rainbow icing, cupcakes, 2...no 3 bottles of wine, and our favorite game. Scrabble.
As I am about to head out, I run into my room mate and also my bestfriend, cafe.
"What're you doing man? The game is on?"
