My eyes flitter open and I feel someone pulling me out a car window. Pain fills my whole entire body and I scream out in agony. I smell so much blood and realize it's mine. Two men bring a stretcher over and lay me onto it. I look over and see a man in the same car I was in. He wasn't moving at all. I get put into the ambulance and soon we are moving.
"What's your name sweetheart?" One of the paramedics ask me as I look around frantically.
"Where am I? What happened?" I ask frantically.
"You're on your way to the hospital. What's your name?" The man asks again.
"I...don't know." I say faintly.
"Do you remember anything that has happened?" He asks.
"No. I can't remember." I said as I tried to breath.
The man looks at me and then whispers something to the other man. Once we get to the hospital, they rush me in and I'm greeted by a woman.
"Let's get her into the ER stat!" The woman yells.
"Wait, what happened?" I ask her.
"You was in a car accident. Don't worry, we're going to fix you up." The doctor said with a smile.
We get into the ER and a woman comes over and puts a mask on my face.
"Just breath. You'll be ok soon." She said.
"But..." I mumbled and soon I was in a deep sleep.
I wake up in a hospital bed. My whole body hurts like crazy and I can't even speak. I look around and see some people sleeping on the chairs. Who are they? A man opens his eyes and rushed over to me.
"Oh my god. Kairi!" He cries out. The other two run over and look at me like I died and came back.
"Hello?" I say as nicely as I could. I didn't want to be rude.
"Kairi. I'm so happy you're ok." The woman said crying and she quickly hugs me.
I sit there confused and push her off me.
"I'm sorry. Who is Kairi?" I ask. The people pause and stare at me. Sad and confused.
"Honey, it's me. Your mom. And that's your dad. And that's Ashton." The woman says. A nurse walks in and smiles at me.
"You're up. How are you feeling?" She asks me.
"I'm ok, but I am confused. Why are these people here?" I ask, pointing to the three people.
"Kairi. Don't you remember me?" The younger boy asks me. I shake my head and look at the nurse. She presses a button on her pager and soon my doctor walks in.
"What seems to be the problem?" She asks the nurse. The nurse mumbles something to her and the doctor walks over towards me.
"Do you know who these people are?" She asks, pointing to the three people who was bothering me.
"No." I said.
"How about the accident?"
"Can you remember anything from your past?"
"I...can't." I whisper. The doctor escorts the people outside the room and I see them talking. The two adults suddenly start to cry. I look at the boy and see tears fall down his cheeks. Why are they crying? Do I know them? Do they know me? I am completely confused. The boy comes back in by himself and sits down in the chair next to my bed.
"You don't remember me." He mumbles.
"Should I?" I ask.
"I should have been with you. I should have." He said, talking into his palms.
"I don't know who you are. I think you have the wrong person."
"Kairi. That's your name. Please remember. Remember me. Your best friend." He said crying.
"I'm sorry. I don't know you."
"Please." He said hugging me. I panic and push him away.
"Get off me! I..don't know you! I don't know anything. Leave!" I scream. The nurse runs in with two others and escort the boy away. One nurse drugs me with something that knocks me back into the deep sleep.
