7. Chapter 7:

Two Days Later

Madison's POV: Monday

The expectation was that I was going to get to sleep at 10:30 pm that night. But in reality I didn't get to sleep till like 12:34 am.

I had so much on my mind that I was losing so much sleep over.  I had to be up at 5:00 am and I just wished that the thought could just wait until I'm actually on the plane so I could at least get some sleep.

But some of the things that were taking over me were pretty much things that I had to think about before I boarded the plane. Have I packed enough luggage for Australia or should pack more or have packed more than I should have? Considering that there is a weight limit as to how much you’re allowed to pack for a plane, well so I've heard. Should wear summer clothes on my flight or more like autumn clothes just in case summer in Australia is hotter compared to here? Am I going to miss my flight because I've forgotten something, and I had to run back to get it? Is Lexie going to be late in the morning which would be another reason as to why I'd miss my flight?  Are the people in Australia nicer than they are here?  Is Carman actually going to be nice to Lexie, while I'm gone?

Agh! All these thoughts were just swimming in my head and it was giving me a headache.  I put my music in my ears and kept it down low as an attempt to remove all the thoughts. Thankfully it worked and I finally got to sleep.

I woke up 4:45 am, 15 minutes earlier than what I was really meant to. Lexie was coming at 6:10 which meant I still had an hour and 24 mins to get ready. It seems so long, but sadly time will definitely go by very quickly for sure.

I walked out of my room and tiptoed down the hallway to the bathroom. I walked towards the mirror and changed the elastics that I had with my braces, then tiptoed back to my room and organised all my shoes that I was going to pack in the suitcase.

I walked over to my wardrobe and searched for the shoes I was taking, my Black and White Nike Airs, my Blue Nike Air Max, my black vans, my black low cut converse, and kept my high top converse out when deciding that I was going to wear them today, and packed other types shoes in my suitcase.

I walked over to my dresser and seen in the reflection of my mirror that my parents’ bedroom light was switched on, it must be 5:00 already.  I was way too tired to talk at the moment so I didn’t bother walking to their room to talk at this very moment.

I continued on with what I had begun. I opened up my drawer for my makeup and put all the makeup I wasn't going to use in my makeup bag. I don't normally go overboard with my makeup only on a special occasion, and I guess I considered today as a special occasion, it took me around 7 minutes to finish, and kept my hair the way it was because my hair looked just like Elsa’s hair from frozen, same colour, same style- lame I know.

Tahlia came and sat on my bed she was already almost ready. "Morning, Madison!" She said in a rather happy tone.

I walked over to my bed and took a few clothes out of my suitcase trying to find my black knee ripped jeans and my All Time Low bank shirt. "How long have you being awake for," I asked her

She stood up and walk toward the mirror she has recently just got her braces off and she still can't get over how different she looks now. "I woke up at 4:30, and I heard your door open so you must've woken up at the same time, your door creaks really loudly, by the way," She said.

"Nah I woke up 15 minutes later,” I answered “And I know I hope my new door isn’t that bad” I added. Tahlia nodded and left my room so I could get changed, and finish packing.

After I was finished everything I needed to do, I stood in my doorway taking one last look at it before I left, my eyes were starting to tear up at the thought that this would probably be the last time I'd enter this room for a very long time.

I went down the stairs with my suitcase trailing behind me and went to the kitchen to grab an apple seeing as I wasn't really hungry for anything else.  The time on the microwave said that it was already 6:00 so went out the front and waited for Lexie to come.

When she arrived I run back inside and told my parents that Lexie and her mum were here.  I run towards her car and Lexie got out pulling up the back seats seeing as there weren't enough seats for all of us.

Lexie's mum was driving and her dad was in the passenger seat. Mum, Jordan and dad sat in the three seats behind them and Lexie, Tahlia and I sat in the back seats behind them in their 8 seater car.

"Hello, Lexie" I whispered as I plugged my seatbelt in, I looked up at her and her eyes were all red. So either she was crying all night or just didn’t get any sleep at all. "Hello, Madison" She whispered back.

Me, Tahlia and Lexie were having a conversation about how Australia is a lovely place there are a lot of hot guys there that I’m going to love it. She was speaking from experience.  And on the odd occasion Jordan would have something to say, with his humorous sarcastically smart comments.

It was a 30-minute drive to the airport which felt like it went for 5 minutes, why is the time all of a sudden going so fast.  We arrived at the London Heathrow Airport 6:40 and we all enter the airport lobby.

Mum and dad both went up to the front desk and asked what time the plane was leaving. "7:05," The lady behind the desk said as she was looking at her computer screen.  My parents thanked her and we all made our way to the security gate.

I started to stress, thinking that I had something on me that would set the beeper off, but I knew I didn't, so I tried to calm down.  I got through the gates without it beeping at me, and we all set our baggage down at the baggage carousel, then went and took a seat.

As I was looking around I spotted a Starbucks, I asked everyone around me whether they wanted anything and they all agreed, so Jordan, Tahlia, Lexie and I all made our way over to the little booth in the airport and ordered our drinks.

When we got back to the seats, Carman was already there talking to my mum. And they didn’t look very happy they looked upset.

When she saw me, her lip dropped and she walked towards me. "Hey, you made it. I'm glad you came" I said as I pulled her in for a hug. "Thanks, I guess I wanted to say good bye again before you left" She said.

It was still pretty awkward between us, but I guess I could get used to that, it can be fixed. We all walked over to the seats and began talking to each other. Carman mentioned the band 5 Seconds of Summer and Lexie screamed at the sound of their name, they've must've been big fans of them. I had no idea who they were.

"If you ever meet 5 Seconds of Summer, pleaaase tell them that I exist and tell them to follow me on twitter and Instagram and make sure you give them my number and oh my god I'd be so jealous" Carman said with a massive smile. Even though I had no idea what she was talking about and highly doubted id ever see these people I agreed that I could do it.

"Ooh my god that isn’t actually a bad idea why didn't I think of that, can you do the same with me as well" Lexie asked. "Well considering the fact that I have no idea what you're talking about what they look like and how I’m ever going to see him, I can try"

Carman and Lexie's mouths dropped and Lexie got out her phone and plugged in her earphones. "Here listen to this" She said as she gave me the earphone.

"The song is called amnesia" She told me.

The sound of a guitar picking the strings were playing in my ears, then the singing got involved.

"I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted

I thought about our last kiss, how it felt the way you tasted.

And even though your friends tell me you're doing fine.

Are you somewhere feeling lonely even though he's right beside you?

When he says those words that hurt you, do you read the ones I wrote you?

Sometimes I start to wonder, was it just a lie?

If what we had was real, how could you be fine?

'Cause I'm not fine at all

I remember the day you told me you were leaving

I remember the make-up running down your face

And the dreams you left behind you didn't need them

Like every single wish we ever made

I wish that I could wake up with amnesia

And forget about the stupid little things

Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you

And the memories I never can escape

'Cause I'm not fine at all"

I pulled the earphones out of my ears and repeated the last time. "Cause’ I'm not fine at all" I whispered.  "I can seriously relate to this song right now" Lexie said as she took the earphones out of my hand

"I know exactly what you mean, when I told you that I was leaving your make up was running down your face, it was so awful, and I hated seeing you like that." I said back with a little laugh

My mum and dad walked over to us and we all stood up. She pulled us all in for a hug and I could tell that she was crying a little. She pulled away.

"I would just like to thank you so much for everything you have done for Madison, and being by her side every single day, through thick and thin. You have changed her completely and I am so grateful for what you have done for her. We are all going to miss you so much, and you are more than welcome to come visit whenever you like. Just give us a buzz and we will defiantly organise something, same with you Carman, you are more than welcome to stay over whenever you like as will" My mum said and smiled.

We were all crying it was such an emotional moment and I hate times time this. A voice came over the speaker announcing that the next flight to Australia will be leaving in 5 minutes.

I screamed and said my very last goodbyes but not for good.

"Well I guess this is goodbye, I will miss you both so much, and I will be thinking of you both every day, and I promise I will message you on Facebook every day, I won’t forget to do what you requested and I cannot wait to see you both next holidays or whenever" I said and I pulled them both in for a hug then I pulled out my phone and opened my camera. I asked if I could take my last picture and they agreed and did the same.

I gave them one last hug and walked over to the gates where I was going to board my plane after I said goodbye to Lexie's parents

I got out my phone and texted Carman and Lexie in a group message

Me: I wish that I could wake up with amnesia, and forget about the stupid little things

*Note: There are going to be a few announcements in the process of boarding the plane*

When I got on the plane we were greeted by the flight attendant, for her to check my boarding pass then I took my seat next to Tahlia while everyone was still boarding the plane

The flight attendant was announcing instructions over the speaker.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten Seat Belt sign. If you haven’t already done so, please stow your carry-on luggage underneath the seat in front of you or in an overhead bin. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. And also make sure your seat back and folding trays are in their full upright position.”

All the passengers had moved around obeying the instructions that the flight attendant had given out.

“If you are seated next to an emergency exit, please carefully read the special instructions card located by your seat. If you do not wish to perform the functions described in the event of an emergency, please ask a flight attendant to reseat you. At this time, we request that all mobile phones, pagers, radios and remote controlled toys be turned off for the full duration of the flight, as these items might interfere with the navigational and communication equipment on this aircraft. 10 minutes later while everyone was seated there was another announcement.

Also, we advise you that as of this moment, any electronic equipment must be turned off, Please prepare for gate departure, doors on automatic, cross-check and report In a few moments, the flight attendants will be passing around the cabin to offer you hot or cold drinks, as well as breakfast/dinner/supper/a light meal/a snack. Alcoholic drinks are also available at a nominal charge/with our compliments. Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight.”

I sat back in my as I looked out the window watching the runway quickly speed past us as we lifted into the sky.

Within 9 hours of the flight there was another announcement.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the fasten seat belt sign. We are now crossing a zone of turbulence. Please return your seats and keep your seat belts fastened. Thank you.”

I started to feel very exhausted from flying though all the time zones, so I got out my phone, plugged in my earphones and slowly fell asleep.

Hey everyone, I’m so sorry I have updated in like forever but I had decided not to continue the story, but I just couldn’t not finish, it was really bugging me, so I gave in and decided that I was going to continue this story just keep in mind that I did not write these announcements because I have never being on a plane so I didn’t know how to write them. I really hope you liked it. :D

For those who know this isn’t a new story and haven’t read my mumble/status it had quoted

“Helloo, so I'm going to unpublished my story due to a lot of changed I have to do with it, to me it just seems all over the place and I just have to fix it up a bit! And possibly a new update after the previous update! Then republished it again after I feel that it's back on track again. Thanks!”

Just in case you were confused I just thought I’d remind you or notify you again that, changes has happened to the story.

Don't forget to:

And also.

It'll mean a lot.
