I was woken up early the next morning with an alert on my phone.
New tweet from Phil Lester
Hey look! I found her! She was right!
Attached was a picture of a family tree with both his family and mine.
Another alert popped up at the bottom of my screen.
Phil Lester has followed you!
Then, I got a message.
Phil Lester: hey!
Katrina Holt: hi!!! What's up?
Phil Lester: what's down?
Katrina Holt: lol
Phil Lester: just wanted to say hey to my cousin
Katrina Holt: well hey from us in America!
Phil Lester: LOL! Well keep in touch!
Katrina Holt: will do
Oh... Feel free to message our other cousin Rayleigh @Rayleigh_Grace
Phil Lester: Cool! well, Dan and I are going to meet PJ and Chris. Talk to you later?
Katrina Holt: totally
Phil Lester: bye! :)
Katrina Holt: bye! :)
I jumped up out of bed and called Rayleigh.
"Ray!" I squealed.
"What do you want?" She whined. "It's 5:30 in the morning! On a Saturday!"
"Phil messaged me!"
"Wait what?" I could hear her jump up out of bed. "Tell me your joking."
"Dead serious." I confirmed. "I gave him your Twitter too."
"You did not!"
"I did too!"
"Katrina shut up!" My brother yelled from down the hall.
"Joe's yelling at me. Gotta go." I hung up and danced around the room quietly. This was literally the most exciting thing to ever happen to me.
Weeks went by as Rayleigh and I talked to Phil. We called, skyped, and slowly introduced him to more family.
"Kat," Rayleigh declared one day. "I have an idea."
"We invite Phil to America for the summer!" She explained excitedly.
"My parents were talking about asking him to come." I pondered. "He could stay with us."
"Yes!" She cheered. "Do it."
"I'll ask my parents tonight."
And before we knew it, we were getting ready for Phil to come to America.
