1. The final battle
Hermione stood in the middle of the Great Hall staring down at the young innocent face of Colin Creevey. A true Gryffindor, he stayed behind to help fight Voldemort and his death eaters. Unfortunately he paid the price of his life and Voldemort wasn't even defeat yet.
Lavender Brown was lying unconscious on part of the Ravenclaw table. She escaped Fenrir Greyback's attack with her life but will forever be scared and have werewolf tendencies the same as Bill. Hermione had been the one to save her. lavender had been able to stay awake long enough to whisper a thank you to Hermione and then fell unconscious. She had yet to wake up.
The Weasleys were crowded around Fred's body. He had been crushed by falling debris. Mrs Weasley's moans merged with that of other mothers, lovers and siblings. George was sat at Fred's head, his hand on his missing ear. Charlie had yet to make it to the UK and was the only Weasley who wasn't there. Even great aunt muriel had arrived to help defeat Voldemort. She along with Augusta Longbottom were really showing the younger adults a thing or two.
Harry, who didn't wish to impose on the Weasley's during their private time of mourning, was sat between Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. Remus was the last link to his parents and now he was gone too. Tonks had died whilst dueling her mad aunt Bellatrix. Remus had been killed by Antonin Dolohov. He had been so focus on killing Peter Pettigrew and avenging his friends that he hadn't seen Dolohov pointing his wand at him.
Hermione looked around the Great Hall and took in all the dead and injured. She knew she could save some of them. Change their fates. Allow them to grow to adulthood. Make sure they would watch their children grow up. It would only take a few simple turns of her Time Turner.
She stood near where the head table normally stood and as quickly as she could she took the Time Turner from underneath her shirt. Her hands trembled slightly as she spun the small knob turning the hourglass. Normally everything just spun around her and she was able to keep her eyes open. This time everything spun so quickly that it became blurs of light until Hermione passed out.
