To be honest, I actually have a fondness for Mary. I never actually hated her. The only reason I made fun of her previously is because I couldn't show any signs of weakness. She's really sweet once you actually talk to her, and she likes more than just the Internet. She actually likes the same kind of music as I do. Blink, Green Day, ATL, Nirvana. It's awesome.
"LOUIS!" He entered my room and just stayed at the door. "When are mother and father going to be home?"
"Not till tomorrow morning sir." Perfect. That means Mary would be able to stay the night.
"Mary, do you think you'd be able to have dinner?" She thought about it.
"Possibly. I"d have to call Papa." She got out her phone and made a quick call. "Papa? Can I eat over a friend's house tonight? I can? Well, will you be alright if I'm gone longer than usual? As long as you're okay, I'm okay. Love you Papa. Okay I'll see you later." She hung up and turned to me. "I'm all set. I can stay." I then turned to Louis who was still waiting by the door.
"Louis, prepare dinner for two this evening."
"You're dismissed." He nodded and quickly dashed out of the room.
"Michael?" I turned to Mary. "Can I ask you a question?"
"You just did." She laughed.
"No. Like seriously."
"Yeah go ahead. Ask away."
"Um.. Well, why do you treat Louis and Niall so poorly?" She flinched probably thinking I was going to yell at her or hit her. But the thing is, she makes me calm.
"Well, because they're my servants. It's their job to serve me."
"But, you don't have to be rude to them. I think you need to remember that they are still people." She had a point but, they'd been serving my family ever since I could remember them being there. In fact it's hard to picture them not being in my house serving my family and I.
"Yeah.." I trailed off. There was a knock on my door after a while of silence. "Yes?" Niall popped his head in.
"Dinner is ready sir."
"Thank you Niall. We'll be right there." His eyes widened a little bit, and there was a slight smile on his face as he exited the room. I turned to face a smiling Mary. "Are you ready my lady?" I stuck my hand out and she took it.
"Let's go. Don't want the food to get cold." I laughed. She's literally my personality (besides my temper), in girl form. We walked down the stairs in what I found to be a familiar setting. Not just me being in my house. I felt like I've done this before. But I quickly shook off the feeling as the scent of pizza hit me. Mary and I ran towards the table and quickly sat down. We both started shoveling the food into our mouths.
"This is so good." Mary complimented.
"Thank you ma'am." She looked kind of unsteady when Louis said that.
She leaned over to me and whispered, "do they always just stand there when you eat?" I nodded.
"Why are you uncomfortable?"
"Oh no. I'm just not used to having anyone watch me eat. It's usually just Papa and I."
"I can make them leave if you want?"
"I'm okay Michael seriously." and that was that. For the rest of the night up until Niall drove her home, we just talked. It's something I've never actually done with a girl before but, it was nice.
