I stopped weeping. I walked down the street holding hands with Ivan, smiling, laughing, and walking all the way to his house, we laughed so hard I almost forgot about my parents. The clock struck 10:00 pm. We lay in his huge king sized bed, snuggling the whole time.
“Ivan, when are we going to go on our honeymoon?” I said shivering but on the inside feeling warm. Nose to nose, he looks at me, smiling.
“Aren’t we already?” oh yeah that’s right… in his country after marriage they go on their honeymoon right away and stay home together for two weeks… I thought I can live with that I smiled.
“Yeah, that’s right, nevermind.”
“If something is wrong, you can tell me.” he said his eyes lit up on his last few words.
“Nothing’s wrong, you know what happened, my mind isn’t thinking straight, that’s all.” I said. He drew closer to me. Before I knew it we were kissing. Our arms around each other, breathing heavy, my nighty inching upward. I attempted pulling it back down, but it didn’t help. My hands wrapped around his neck, his hands around my bare waistline. After two hours, I quickly threw on my robe, realizing what I had done. I can’t tell anyone… What the hell did I just do? What was I thinking? No one will find out, don’t panic… I thought while getting a drink of water. How am I going to get out of this one? I thought. I went back to bed and wrapped my hand around Ivan’s waist before falling asleep. The next morning I woke up and made chocolate chip pancakes of course, being a sweet freak, I set out the whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and strawberries for toppings.
“Wow, is your body clock off, dear? It’s 8:00 am, not dessert time.” Ivan chuckled
“No I just started craving sweets all of a sudden. I mean, it’s not that bad is it?”
“Dessert for breakfast is never bad, dear Zara.” He said as he kissed my rosy red cheek and then we sat down and began to eat our dessert like breakfast. I took the M&M’s out of the fridge and dumped them on my dessert pancake. Why am I so dessert centered right now? I thought. Ivan looked at me, a confused look on his face.
“Zara, is everything ok? Ever since about last night into this morning you’ve been a dessert vacuum.”
“Yeah. I’m fine, I’m not stress eating that would be potato chips.” I winked and said, “It’s nothing.”
