I woke up even more tired than I was the night before. I quickly realized what had happened last night and hurried to get dressed.
“Good morning, love…” I looked over and he was shirtless. I blushed.
“Morning.” Apparently more than shirtless because he pulled the blanket up more. I laughed nervously. “So… we…”
“We are married, aren’t we?” I smiled.
“Yeah… so it was okay, right?”
“Why wouldn't it be?”
“I… I d-don’t know…” I looked down.
“Come on, aren’t you tired yet? It’s only 3 in the morning.” He looked at me sleepily. I crawled back in bed.
“Yeah…” I smiled, placing my head on his chest.
“Are you always like this? Waking up before anyone else?” I giggled. Giggled. You know how hard it is to get me to giggle without full-blown (More like blown-way-outta-proportion) laughing?
“No… I just feel weird, staying somewhere besides home… but my home is gone…” I felt his arm go around me. I was on the top of the covers. “Thank you…”
“Everything…” I fell asleep. When I woke up, I went and made us food. After a while I realized that Zara hadn't texted for a long time. So I, of course, called.
“Zara, you alright? You didnt text me at all.”
“Yeah, of course everything is fine! Why wouldn't it be? I, uh, gotta go now, bye!”
“Bye...?” I heard the line go dead. “That was… weird. Even for her.”
“Why? What did she say?”
“Nothing, its okay. She is probably just with Ivan.” He put his arms around my waist from behind. I was blushing a deep crimson. Then he pulled me down and I realized I was on his lap. “PFFFFFFFFFFF... ARTHUR!” He laughed, placing his chin on my shoulder.
“Wait, wait, don’t make-” He started to tickle me. So I was on his lap, flailing like an idiot, and gasping for air. When he finally stopped, he was laughing just as hard as I was. It was fun, being close to him. Better than I had ever imagined. In most of my fantasies, I was a long standing girlfriend, nothing more. Now I’m married. And so is Zara. I wonder how it is with her, she barely talks to me anymore. “Arthur…”
“Whatever it is, it will be okay, love.”
“I hope so…” I pushed myself up off his lap and sat next to him, leaning on his shoulder. “Anywho, don't do that. It is weird. Plus, what if someone had walked in on us like that?”
“Come on, love, it wasn’t that weird…”
“Yeah, says me.” He smiled and kissed the top of my head. “You’re so beautiful.” I felt my ears heat up.
“Arthur…” I whined.
“Come on, you are.”
“If you had seen me in real life-my dimension-you wouldn't think so…”
“Yeah, I would…” He pulled my chin up and kissed me full on the lips. “I know I would.”
“But, I have short hair in my dimension…”
“Do I care? No.”
“Most people… would…” I looked up at him. “Why don't you?” He didn't answer.
