I came home from Zara’s wedding and actually felt like I could relax. No Cole, No Derick, No 2ps, and NO ZARA. I plopped on the couch but as soon as I did, Zara walks in. So much for peace and quiet I thought.
“Hi…” I said quietly
“Why are you so quiet?” Zara said.
“I dont know… I just thought I was gonna be alone for a few minutes…”
“Well, I’m going to go see my parents…” Zara said.
“In your wedding gown?”
“If I’m breaking the news, I gotta do it the right way!” Zara looked ecstatic, although her parents might not approve of this.
“Um… well, uh, I already went back… and found out… some stuff. Goodbye!”
“Wait… Where are you going? Eh, Oh well, I’ll be back after I see my parents.” Zara said and with that she left.
“I am not going anywhere.” I muttered. I sat there for a moment, just thinking.
What if the wedding ends badly, or something happens…?
My brain kept making up scenarios where someone gets hurt-or worse-and I had to watch tv. I don’t normally, so, I had no idea what I was watching. So, tv was out, and the library seemed like a good place… but I don't have a card…. I guess I could go get one… and I don't know where a library is. So I sat there, lost in my thoughts.
Nope, nope, nope, I will not sit here for another second.
I grabbed my phone and turned on some music. What came on was the screamo-type version of ‘Love the way you lie’. I sang with it and then pulled up my youtube playlists, choosing a random one. And you know which one I clicked? Something I wanted to forget about. That I will not tell Zara about because it involves Russia… and lots of blood… Yeah, turned that off quickly, pulling up my nickelback playlist. The first song was Voodoo by Godsmack, which I had no idea how that even got in my Nickelback playlist, but, oh well. Its an amazing song, anyway. Plus, I can get down that low when I sing… but as high as the highest note in Problem by Ariana Grande. So I was singing ‘I'm not the one who’s so far away, when I feel the snake bite enter my veins’ when my phone died. I mean, I finished the song acapella, but, I still love the beat to it.
“Hey Julez, movie time, scoot over.” Michelle said, pushing her way onto the couch. Then I saw Zara.
“What’s wrong with Za-- Oh… shit…” She came over and grabbed the collar of my shirt.
“WHAT DID YOU KNOW?!?!” I yelled
“I don’t know.” I said playing it off.
“DON’T JUST PLAY IT OFF! TELL ME!”
“Zara!? What the hell, I don't know what you mean!”
