On are way up to the room, I couldn't help but see Calum stare off into space. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Nothing." He sighed. I could tell he wasn't in the mood to talk. I didn't understand why he was upset he was just fine a minute ago, I thought. He leaned in closer, wrapping his one arm around my back. As we came up to the room we saw Mia and Luke talking. "Your probably right." I heard Mia sigh. Luke kissed her on the forhead and went back into the room. "You go in, I'm gonna talk to Mia." I told Calum. Calum slowly took his arm away from my back and walked in.
"Hey Mia, what's going on?" I asked. "Michael said I looked sexy and that we should hook up, but when I tried to tell Luke he took Michael side...." She took a long pause. " he made good sense though, he told me Michael may not know what he saying ." She said in more of a question rather than a statement. "Bullshit, Michael knows what he's doing, after all he did whistle at you when you guys first met." I said in a raging voice. She nodded, but not in a convincing way. "I know your right." I reassured her. "Just don't worry about it. I know you do that a lot." I said sarcastically. She giggled. I grabbed her hand and walked her in.
We say the boys all sitting around talking. "What you guys talking bout." I said in a preppy schoolgirl voice. "Band stuff." Calum winked. I rolled my eyes. "Oh." Mia said. A nurse walked in. She was rather pretty, and I knew she thought the same about Calum, because she wouldn't let go of the death stare she had on him. "Your friend here is going to have to stay the night, nothing serious, just for monitoring." The nurse said, still staring at Calum. I walked over to Calum and put my hands on his shoulder. He looked back at me and I gave him a kiss. The nurse looked at me, glaring. I gave her a smirk. She walked out of the room still glancing back at me.
"We'll she was cute." Calum said playfully. I punched him in his arm less playfully. "Ow." He yelled rubbing his arm. I giggled. "We'll leave alone." Luke said gesturing us out of the room.
"Mia, Ashton, you guys ready to go?" Luke asked. "I think I'm gonna ride with Calum and Katie." I said rubbing the back of my neck. I hopped in the car before Luke could speak. I wasn't on the mood for excuses.
"So Mia you ok?" Calum asked. "Yea just a little mad at Luke, but I'm fine." "Ok just making sure." Calum said. As we pulled in the driveway of my cottage I saw my grandma waiting. Katie and I ran up to her. "Oh thank heaven you girls are alright, I didn't know what happened to you." Me grandma said teary-eyed. "Oh grandma i'm so sorry, Michael hit his head and we had to go to the hospital." I said. I felt really bad. My grandma gave both of us a hug.
I walked down to the shoreline. It was beautiful the only problem was it was a man-made lake so it wasn't real beauty. I sat there with my knees bent and my hands in the sand behind my back. I felt arms wrap around my neck. I looked back to see Luke sitting there. "What?" I said playfully, trying to hide the fact I was mad at him. "What's wrong." Luke said. "Nothing." I said cheerfully. "Mia I've known you for 1 month now, I know when your mad. It was hard to think that he already had me figured out after only one month. Then again I don't tend to hide my emotions very well, so say my friends. "You pissed me off when you took Michael's side." I sighed. Luke put his head in the crook of my neck and kissed it. I slowly backed away. Before I knew what hit me, Luke was on top of me and was crashing his lips against mine. I shoved him off. He laid next to me in the sand. " I'm still mad at you." I groaned. "Well what can I do to change that." He smirked. "Tell Michael that it wasn't cool to say that." I said in all seriousness. He sighed. I could tell that wasn't the reply he was looking for. "I can't." He groaned. "And why is that?" I said looking at him rolling my eyes. "Because I know Michael and I don't think he would intentionally do that." He said. "Well, he did." I said as I walked away.
I walked back to my cottage, to see an extra car in the driveway. I saw Katie in the window signaling for me not to come in. But before I could walk away I saw my dad running out the door. He hugged me and whispered in my ear "I thought I lost you." I hugged him back. I felt bad cause I really didn't think about them when all this was happening. I mean I thought about my mom, and my brother, and a little bit about my dad. I didn't think about Cindy at all and if I did I wouldn't be hoping that she was alright. "Where's Cindy?" I asked, hesitating a little. "At home with your brother." He said. As those words came out of his mouth a smile creeped up my face. I was glad my head was still on his shoulder, so my dad couldn't see me grinning. "She's heading up in two days." He said. My smile slowly left my face. "Until then we can have some much needed father, daughter time." He smiled. I really did like the sound of that. Cindy has gotten in the way of him and I lately. "That sounds...... Great." I sighed.
