"Not possible!" William yells, as he slams his fist into the table.
I almost jump in my chair, and look around, but the others are calm and quiet.
"She can't fight, without her legs working!" He yells, and this time an old man next to me, stands up.
He's large in size, and has half-moon shaped glasses, and white hair, and ice blue eyes.
His wearing a classic blue t-shirt and blue jeans, but it makes him look odd in a way. Alien like.
"William. Please quite down, we understand your trouble, but we need to listen to Annabelle.. It is however her decision" He says in a british accent. His voice is comforting, calm and strong, even though he doesn't look strong.
Everybody around the table looks at me with curiosity. The man next to me, sits down and looks at me too. "Annabelle?" William says, as he sits down.
My cheeks suddenly feels warm, and I feel like my head will explode.
I swallow hard, and look around. "Well..If it was possible I would choose not to be in the game..." I say, and look over at Caleb for help.
He's wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans, and his hair is wet and hanging into his eyes.
He smiles, and stands up. " I think, first of all. That we need to find out who did this to you.. Um. Annabelle. And then we can take it from ther?" He says in a strong voice.
I smile. "If I could stand.. I would've stood up and agreed" I say, and look down. The table is made of metal. I can see my own reflection. My hair is curly and falling into my eyes.
"All in favor?" The man next to me asks, and I look around, and see many men raising their hands.
William looks from me to Caleb, but raises his hand at the end.
Caleb smiles at me, and raises his hand up high.
"Agreed. The meeting is over" The man says, and everybody stands up and leaves, except for William, Caleb and me. I look at Caleb, and he smiles and winks his eye. He looks over at William, who's looking into a grey book, and back to me and his eyes almost say What's he still doing here, and can we get him to leave?
I smile back, and shrug, so Caleb sighs and walks over to me.
William looks up from a book he was holding, and looks at Caleb and over to me, and lifts an eyebrow in confusion. I ignore him and look at Caleb. "What's up?" I ask, and Caleb sits down on a chair next to me. He laughs, and grabs my hand.
For a moment I forget my legs don't work, and I learn forward. I'm about to fall, when Caleb grabs me, and pulls me back into my chair. He laughs, and I blush.
"Sorry.. Sometimes I forget" I say embarrassed. Caleb claps my hand, and smiles. "It's alright to forget. It means your brain works, little blusher." He laughs.
I cross my arms over my chest, and raise my eyebrow. "What do you mean?" I ask.
Caleb shrugs.. "Well. You could have been daydreaming about me?" He says.
I laugh. "Sure" I say.
"Without shame the woman I like knows and avows hers" Caleb quotes.
"Walt Whitman right?" I ask.
Caleb laughs. "God! We're old! But yes!" He says. And I push his shoulder.
"Actually I think it's beautiful that you quote old poets, but what did you mean with Walt Whitman?" I blush as I ask.
Caleb smiles. "Well.. You decide" He says, and winks his eye again, and I shiver from shoulders and down to waist, and blush.
"Easy now, little blusher" Caleb says and laughs, and I can't keep myself from laughing either.
