5. open up
Its like Luke is everywhere. I walk out of my class he's waiting. I walk to my locker he's waiting. I walk outside he's waiting. It's like I can't avoid him. When I walk out of the school I don't see Luke anywhere. I start to walk when somebody slings me over their shoulder. "AHHH STOP PUT ME DOWN!" I start to hit their back. Then I see its just Luke. I roll my eyes. "Dammit Luke!" He chuckles setting me down. "So am I walking you home?" I raise my eyebrow at him. "Didn't you drive?" He shrugs. "I can still walk you." I shake my head. "No." He rolls his eyes. "I'm coming over." I glare at him. "Luke no." He starts to run off. "SORRY CAN'T HERE YOU I'M ALREADY GETTING IN THE CAR SO I CAN COME OVER." I giggle.
As I walk home I hear somebody behind me. I turn to see its the boy from my next door. I roll my eyes. "Annabelle." I ignore him walking faster. "Seriously. I didn't drive and you're going to do this shit." I keep walking. "Annabelle stop!" I turn around only to have him smash into me. He catches me our bodies pressing together. "Sorry." His hands are around my waist holding me up. I bite my lip. Then remember no relationships. I cough stepping out of his grip. "What do you want?" I try to say angrily. He rolls his eyes. I turn to walk away but he grabs my arm pulling me back. Our bodies pressing up against each other again. "You... Have got to stop doing that." He smirks putting his hands against my waist. "Sorry." I sigh. "Dammit Calum get off." He winks letting go of me. "Whatever." He whispers into my ear making me bite my lip again. I walk away from him. He's right behind me. "Just listen." I roll my eyes. "What." I stop again. "I just want to talk to you.. Or atleast be your friend. I know how it feels to be an-" I cut him off. "Stop. I don't want pity." I turn running away. "ANNABELLE STOP ITS NOT PITY!" I run faster getting into my driveway. Luke is already waiting. "What took you so long? Why are you running?" I ignore his questions grabbing his hand and pulling him inside. "Hey Julie." She turns to me. "Um.. Hi.. Annabelle.." I half smile. "Um Luke and I are going to my room." She nods smiling. "Keep the door open." I roll my eyes giggling. "Yeah yeah."
I watch as she pulls the Luke kids into her house. I shake my head. She won't talk to me but she'll talk to that dick? Are you fucking kidding me.. I walk into my room throwing my bag down. I walk over to my window about to open it. I look over and make eyecontact with her. We hold it for a second then she looks over her shoulder. Then back to me. I slam the curtains shut. I walk down the stairs grabbing my gym bag. Right as I'm about to go out the door my mom stops me. "Calum. Don't forget that we're going over to the neighbors for dinner. She wants me to meet her daughter. Annabelle I think. I frown. "Daughter?" My mom looks up from her book. "Yes her daughter." I nod. "I'm not going." Before she can say anything else I close the door. Getting into my car I head to the gym.
I was as Calum speeds off. I turn around to Luke. "Whats his deal?" He looks at me weird. "Who what?" I roll my eyes. "Calum. My neighbor. Whats his problem." He shrugs. "I don't know I don't like him. We don't talk." I frown. "Don't be an ass." He rolls his eyes. "Sorry didn't mean to be you." I glare at him. "Seriously. Why doesn't anybody talk to him?" He shrugs again. "I don't know maybe because he's fucking weird. Maybe because he's annoying. Why do you care?" I shrug this time. "I don't know.." He comes up behind me. "Annabelle you have to open up sometime." I nod. "Just not now.."
