Do you understand, Measle? barked the woman, staring at the young child sat frightened at her feet. She could feel the fear radiating off the child at the sharpness of her voice. At the death-likeness in her glare. At the ability to hurt the child so easily. The fear was good, it seeped into her bones, it pumped her heart faster. The fear was her adrenaline, and she needed more, fast.
Do you understand MEASLE? roared the woman, and the child nodded fearfully. Fright danced in the poor girl's eyes, and the woman smiled menancingly.
Good. Don't you forget them Measle, or I'll have it in for you. Okay? The child nodded again and the women felt a sensation. A beautiful sensation that sent her brain into hyper-drive, that made her muscles tighten. The sensation of power.
