15. 'Twas the Eve of Christmas Eve

Ariana's POV:

(I am truly sorry about the writing lately I've been having sports after school so I try to update whenever I can. Also, sorry this isn't a real update I was just fixing some things because I don't know my Australian facts that well lol I'm American so in the future if I get something wrong give me a heads up so I can fix!)

It's been about 1-2 weeks since me and Luke have gotten really that close. I would expect him to be asking for more, but surprisingly he wasn't. I really did want to know why, but since it was the ever so lovely 'Eve of Christmas Eve' I would have to stay home with my family.

Maybe Luke could come over for a few hours? I decided to check with my mom.

"Can Luke come over? Please mom please I would be so happy!"

"I guess so, since none of our family could come out here were not really having plans." she said and I ran up to my room to ask Luke.

*Phone ringing*

"Hello?" Luke said into the phone.

"Hey, Luke! It's been awhile. I was wondering if you wanted to come over?" I bit my lip.

"Actually, that'd be fine. I'll be over soon." he said and I finally felt better about myself. For a short time, I thought he didn't like me because he couldn't hang out anymore and it's been so long.

I just jumped onto the couch and watched whatever was on TV until Luke came over.

---

Not long after, Luke rang the doorbell. I embraced him in a hug and he immediately responded my hugging me tightly.

"I know this is weird, but I've missed you since the last few weeks." I said during the hug.

"I'm sorry I couldn't do anything. The band and stuff.. we're getting a lot attention. We had to do covers and make competitions for the fans to be more involved." he said and we broke apart.

"Yeah, it's alright, I get it. You should be expecting this more often." I smiled and grabbed his hand.

"Let's go for a walk." he smiled and we walked out the door.

---

"Oh my gosh, it's a Christmas miracle!" Luke yelled and started spinning me around. Why was he so excited?

"Look! A Starbucks over there and I just so happened to bring some money!" he squealed.

"This is great!" he laughed and we went to the small Starbucks (how basic) to get warm drinks.

Once our orders were out, we went out and walked some while we admired how beautiful and calm it was today.

"Good things always happen when you're around." he laughed.

"That's not always true, but I can't deny it." I joked and we finally got back to my house.

Once we were on the couch, I pulled a blanket over us and turned on the TV. I turned on the weather because it interested me, I don't really know why.

"Let's watch something interesting now." Luke whined as I was watching the weather.

"Fine, you pick." I handed him the remote and he sheepishly smiled. He entered Netflix and looked through the 'suggested.'

"Christmas movie for a Christmas Day." he said and clicked on Rudolph. (I know it's not on Netflix lol.)

"Good choice." I said and moved closer to him.

"Just come over here already." he said and pulled me into his arms. I could do this everyday.

---

As the movie came to an end, I was almost starving.

"I'm hungry!" I pouted and crossed my arms.

"Hey, this is your house, not mine." he had a point.

"I'm getting food." I said and got up. I came over with my favorite food in hand.

"One zebra cake for you, one for me." I said and handed one to him.

"What the heck is this?" he laughed.

"American food. Now eat it! It's very good." (sorry idk if they have zebra cakes in Australia.)

He bit in to it, expecting it to be really bad.

"This is great!" he smiled and shoved the whole thing into his mouth.

"Calm down!" I laughed and bit into mine. Once I looked up, Luke was staring at me with puppy dog eyes.

"Please share with me, I ate all mine." he said and showed me the wrapper.

"Fine, only because you look adorable with puppy dog eyes." I giggled and gave him a piece.

"Thank you, princess." I can tell he wanted more.

"No more." I said and he stopped holding onto me.

"Luke?" I said and tried to turn him around.

"No. I want more food." he said and wouldn't turn around. I sighed and gave him the last of it. He smiled and ate it all up in one bite.

"Merry Christmas Eve Eve." I laughed and looked over to our tree. It was beautiful with golden and white ornaments.

"Mistletoe!" I heard Luke say.

"There's no mistletoe.." I said, looking around.

"I guess I'll have to save that kiss for New Years Eve then. It was worth a try." he intertwined his fingers with mine.

"You cheeky yet innocent boy." I laughed and we went back to my room.

---

"Go fish, HAHA!" Luke laughed and hid his cards. Our little cuddles turned into an intense game of 'Go Fish.'

"Got any queens?" he asked, trying to peek at my cards.

"Go fish." I smirked and slid the deck near him.

"No! Unfair, you have queens." he pouted but I shook my head.

"I would never lie." I really wasn't. He was just a sad, sore loser.

After all, I ended up winning. It wasn't much of a surprise though, he was thinking too hard about what to do and what cards to choose.

"Maybe next time babe." I said and put away the deck.

"Hopefully. I wanna beat you!"

"You already did with those zebra cakes." he agreed with me, he did win that fight.

"My mom says I have to go home, family's coming over tomorrow. How bout your family?" he asked.

"Nope, my family's all in America. I'll have a lonely Christmas Eve, but it's fine I guess." I said and shrugged.

"That's too bad. Hey, don't forget to FaceTime me on Christmas! You know, because we can't be together."

"Of course." I said and said goodbye to him. I shut the door and made a nice pizza.

Pizza, the solution to all problems.

I looked out the window, wondering if I'd ever see snow in my life ever again. I ignored and and decided to look on the bright side and watched the sun go down.

"Beautiful." I said to myself and looked over to the Christmas tree.

"Just beautiful."
