It was the last day I'd hear hundreds of lockers opening and closing at once. Yup, the last day of school until I leave for tour with Luke.
I opened my locker and grabbed my books for my first class; English. I was good at the class, but I hated it.
"Hey, soon to be super famous girl." Hollie said and stood next to me with her books.
"Why does everybody think that?" I laughed and we turned into our classroom.
"Only because it's true." she said and we sat in our seats. I waited for Luke as the bell was going to ring soon. He finally rushed into the room, papers sticking out of his folders and notebooks.
"Um, what's going on there?" I asked and looked at his stack of useless books.
"Work and stuff I had to finish." he said and started to sort it out. The teacher then walked in as the bell rang and class started. I couldn't help but look over at Luke as we wrote notes and did homework sheets. He was worried and anxious, I could tell. It was adorable.
The bell finally rang and we got our stuff for 2nd period. I had gym with Hollie and Dawn.
"These uniforms are horrendous." Dawn said, tugging at the grey shirt.
"You just noticed?" I laughed.
"I wish." she said and we began to run for our daily warm up.
"Ari, tell us, how does it feel for this being your last gym class?" Hollie said and stuck her 'microphone' to my face.
"Well, worse then normal days. I guess." I shrugged.
"What? BOO! Why?" Dawn said and pushed me.
"Time is definitely slower." I laughed and noticed it's only been 5 minutes.
"She has a point." Hollie said and took down the fake microphone.
In gym we just did games of whatever we wanted so we decided to sit out and talk about random stuff before I left for a long time.
"Text us like, everyday." Dawn said and hugged me. Hollie joined in and some kids stared but I didn't care.
"I'll miss you guys." I pouted.
"You have Luke. Aw, you'll be stuck in a bunk with him.. that tight space.." Hollie trailed off.
"Oh my gosh! No!" I laughed.
"We'll be in different bunks, just saying." I said and crossed my arms.
"You'll be wishing you only had one.." Dawn whispered.
"I heard that!" I said and we laughed. The rest of the period consisted of laughs and jokes before we went in to change into our normal clothes.
"Lunch, lunch! Munch, munch!" Luke said and rubbed his stomach as we waited in line for food.
"I can't believe I'm dating you!" I laughed and covered my face. He lowered my hands and gave me a kiss before anybody could see.
"I can't wait for Friday." He said and held onto my hands as the line slowly moved.
"Me either. Are you scared?" I questioned and looked over at him.
"Of course. I'm trying to hold it in." he said and bit his lip.
"You'll be great!" I said and the line kept moving at the same pace.
"Oh Luke! You're amazing! Marry me?" Michael said, mocking me.
"Very funny. Are you going to do this all tour?" I asked. He nodded and Calum came up behind him.
"Michaels being rude!" Luke said and pointed to Michael.
"Well.." Calum laughed.
"What's that supposed to mean?" he said and turned to Calum. They started to play fight like girls do in the movies, and we finally got our food.
"These chicken nuggets taste suspicious.." I said and looked at them.
"It's our last time eating them, we can't get paranoid now." Luke said and grabbed my plate.
"Eat them, I'm really not hungry." I laughed and pulled out the ice cream I got with the meal.
"What happened to not hungry?" Calum laughed as I ate.
"Ice cream is acceptable."
The last period of the day. Also known as the longest and most boring. I sat by Michael which made it at least more interesting. After the endless notes and worksheets, we finally got to pack our things and leave. All I had in my locker was my books I used today and after it was all in my backpack, it was empty.
"Goodbye, locker." I said and kicked the bottom. I walked to the entrance of the school to see Luke waiting for me.
"Ready?" he said, grabbing my hand.
"As always." I said and we started to make our way home.
"Are we still up for the park?" he asked as we approached it.
"Duh!" laughed and raced him to the swings. We sat down and started swinging, trying to get higher than each other.
"You always win." I pouted as it came to an end.
"I'm the master!" he said and pat himself on the back.
"We should go. It's really hot out." I said. It actually was.
"Race?" he asked and we ran towards our backpacks, me winning for once.
"I let you win." he said, almost out of breath.
"That's what they all say." I laughed and he walked me home.
"At least we have tomorrow together." my parents said in the door frame.
"Yeah. I'll miss you guys." I said and looked over to them."
"We'll miss you too. At least we have enough on our hands with your little brother." they said and sent me to bed. I went under the covers, my head turning to the window. The stars were actually really bright at the time and I fell asleep to the sight of them.
It was sorta longer than usual. I might be able to update more tonight since school was cancelled tomorrow (thank you coldness) and yeah. Hope you enjoyed!
