A Poem a Day

During the year 2015 I have chosen to take on a challenge to write a poem everyday. I will try to put them all here everyday.

155. June 4th

Give alms to the poor,

Medicine to the sick,

Food to the hungry,

And shelter to the homeless.

Give good things to the evil,

Water to the thirsty,

Jobs to the unemployed,

And love to the lonely.

The world can provide the resources we need,

To support everyone on earth.

Yet humans are selfish and long for hierarchy,

So everything will not be shared.

If everyone wanted for all to get

The things they need to live,

The world would be better than it is now

Yet the world can never be perfect.

Perfection is a concept, not a reality,

By nature achieve it.

We will never be perfect but that does not mean,

We should not try to be better.
