A Poem a Day

During the year 2015 I have chosen to take on a challenge to write a poem everyday. I will try to put them all here everyday.

177. June 26th

Drip drip,

From above

Drip drip,

Will it stop?

Fron above the trees drip

Rain from their smooth green leaves,

The air is humid and rain keeps falling

Like a tropical monsoon.

The air is close and it feels muggy,

Now I am in the Amazon rainforest,

The tall vegetation makes a covering,

Under which wildlife lives.

Now I see fish swimming round,

And surely that's a shark over there.

The large newt looks like a crocodile,

Basking in the side of the pond.

Now in the desert scorching hot,

Where great sand-castles are built.

In which there live sand princess and princesses,

In the hot and dry sandscape.

You see in my back garden there are many wonders,

I travel across the globe in there.

So take a look and see what you find,

But beware you may end up frozen or sun burnt.
