185. July 4th
The last rays of sunlight fall upon the mountain,
Tinted purple like a raiding kings robe.
The mountain cares not for day and night
For to it a year is as a day.
The mountain is older than life,
It precedes animals and was made before plants.
Within it has many a memory,
Which age back to the dawn of the earth.
Therefore though we cannot see its knowledge,
We know it has great wisdom unlike the fickle humans.
It is wiser and much older,
Much older than any earthly life.
