A Poem a Day

During the year 2015 I have chosen to take on a challenge to write a poem everyday. I will try to put them all here everyday.

350. December 16th

A cage of trees surrounds me,

Blocking out light; Blocking out life.

Interlocked branches like barbed wire,

Guard me from the outside; the outside from me.

Stripped blacks and white like a zebra,

The trunks missing strips of bark.

Cut away by evil hands as if with a whip,

Struck down yet still standing strong, guarding me.
