A Poem a Day

During the year 2015 I have chosen to take on a challenge to write a poem everyday. I will try to put them all here everyday. Enjoy!

112. April 22nd

The branches of the tree are like disfigured fingers,

They curl up with cold menace.

This old decrepit tree will bear no leaves this year,

Or any year to come.

A disease has taken hold of the ancient ash,

It will not live to see another spring.

It, like everything, will end some time,

Yet for the tree it has not long left.
